17. Professional Commission

Had a milestone commission this past week! I was asked to create some earrings and a wristlet as a gift of appreciation for the teachers at the UVIC Indigenous Perspectives Camp. This camp is an introduction for law students to learn about Indigenous cultures, experience, traditions, history, and perspectives on the law and society on what is now known as Vancouver Island. The individuals who participated in this camp were lucky enough to have MENEŦIYE, a SENĆOŦEN Immersion teacher at LEN,NOṈET SCUL,ÁUTW̱ and her parents from the W̱SÁNEĆ Nation guide them through the day.

The last photo is a picture of the amazing view they had during their day.
