I have collected, hand cut, and set these beautiful Ontario Rose Quartz Cabochons in bare hammered copper and then woven two trees on the front, this piece has been topped with a hammered copper crescent moon and embellished with copper and faceted garnet beads with handmade dangling chains.
The chain features handmade Victorian style links with faceted garnet beads and a handmade hammered shepherds hook closure.
I spend a lot of time, feeling the stones I work with and in this case right from the moment I find them in nature. All of the stones I collect are done so without tools and without damaging any of the surrounding area. I am very careful to take only what I need and never in greed, and only what has already broken away.
My pieces are all thought out and planned to reflect a personal feeling inside of me, a weird sort of nostalgia and a longing for a time and a place that no longer exists. My chains are all transitioning to now being handmade by me and inspired by late 1800’s style.
