I’m still here, I promise 👋 Lately I’ve been feeling a shift in my jewelry style. More mixed metals, fewer gemstones, layer layer layer 🤩
I’d love to create more jewelry in this style, but I’ve been struggling with something. The more I explore the market, the more I realize how many pieces are simply sourced wholesale and resold….which is completely fine. I have no issue with that business model.
What I do struggle with is seeing pieces marked up 5–6 times their original cost while so many people are already stretched thin financially.
Maybe it’s the maker in me, but I can’t wrap my head around charging $30 for something that cost $5 dollars to source.
We’re all feeling the pinch these days. What’s a girl to do? Keep creating? Do a hybrid thing? Bring in Moore wholesale, but don’t be greedy about it…?! Come at me 👇🏻
