Advent Feature: Pulp Fragrance is from Toronto, ON. Elizabeth is an absolute wizard of fragrance, and I’m constantly shocked by falling in love with notes I thought I disliked. Their perfumes are oil based, which is nice as a scent sensitive gal who has issues with alcohol based perfume. They also work really well with lava rock diffuser jewellery… 👀

Next up on our Artisan Advent feature: Circle and Wick. If you don’t already know them, allow me to introduce your new favourite candle company.

Circle and Wick candles are hand poured in Nova Scotia and come in an incredible array of year round and season scents. I’m really excited about what we’ve got in the advents… You might find a 4oz candle, or maybe a little trio of festive tea lights! How. Stinking. Cute.

I know many people are curious about what's inside the advents, so I wanted to show off some of the lovely artisans who's products you may find inside!

First up is Luna Soul Alchemy based in Blockhouse NS. Run by two lovely women that I had the pleasure of meeting last Christmas, I've been using their products regularly ever since. They focus on simple, nourishing ingredients that can be traced right back to the source, which sometimes means ingredients they've foraged and harvested themselves!

We carry a selection of their skin products in the shop, including lip balms, shimmers, lotions and cooling sprays.

Custom production times typically range from 4-8 weeks based on complexity.

Repairs:
Anyone needing a repair completed by Christmas, please note our cutoff is October 10th. After that our main focus is holiday prep and customs, and repairs need to take a backseat. Repairs dropped off after the 10th do not have an guaranteed timeline for completion.

We do offer a rush fee of $75 for repairs dropped off after the 10th with a timeline.

The shop is closed today and tomorrow.

I know repairs have been taking a little while to get done, and I never know how much or how little to share here. I’ve got quite the queue (so grateful!) which means things dropped off don’t get started right away; but on top of that there was also a loss in my family last month. It’s been difficult finding time to deal with that, and be productive, and grieve, and I really just need a couple days rest. See you next week and thanks for understanding.
