11 YEARS TO “YOU & I” 🌅❤️
Some couples rush toward the next milestone.
Jordan and Alexia built the life first.
They met more than 11 years ago during Frosh Week at the Université d’Ottawa - University of Ottawa and from those early university days, life became something they experienced side by side.
They practically grew up together through school, moved to Guelph after graduation, eventually made the move closer to Toronto for their careers, and checked off countless goals together along the way.
So after more than a decade, the engagement was never really a question of “if.”
It was simply when.
And Jordan Trimble knew that when the moment finally came, he wanted to bring Alexia back somewhere that already meant something to them.
His family cottage in Southampton, Ontario has been part of their relationship for more than 10 years. Whenever they’re there, one tradition is practically mandatory:

But as time grew closer and Jordan explained the importance of dressing up for the event Alexia grew suspicious and he had to throw her off the scent. Cue Mike De Gennaro
Since Alexia had been part of the custom design process, Mike sent an email making it seem like the specific stone she wanted couldn’t be sourced after all. Just like that, the proposal was back off her radar.
While Alexia was off taking photos nearly 80 yards away, Jordan quietly got everything ready — assembling a beautiful charcuterie board, chilling a bottle of aged ch*****ne, and placing the breathtaking custom toi et moi ring at the centre of it all.
When she turned around, everything was waiting for her.
And of course… she said yes. 🤍
The ring was especially meaningful to Alexia, who had always admired the symbolism behind a toi et moi design — “you and me” — and wanted something custom, unique, and deeply personal. She was drawn to the idea of mixing stones and adding a darker, moodier touch, and Mike brought that vision to life in a spectacular way.
