That’s why you haven’t heard from me in a little while! I spent 9 months working as a freelance in a jewelry store with two locations, one in Capilano Mall and the other in Kitsilano.
Just imagine everything I learned: types of gold, brands, and finishes; diamonds, gemstones, and their carats; how to pearl-knot and assemble pearl necklaces, Shopify, inventory management, and so much more! But the best part was the cultural mix—learning from the cultures of Iran, China, and Ecuador, where my bosses and coworkers are from. It was a true apprenticeship.
I want to thank my bosses and teammates with all my heart for teaching me so much and making me feel like family every single day.
Now, I’m back 100% to Karen Spitzer Jewelry… and what’s coming next is wow! ✨💎
