A race day memory from Jay Heins on one of the final 100km editions of the Preston Street Crit in 2007:

“this is me at, i think, one of the last of the 100km long events. 2007. it was a race of attrition with 35° weather and 100% humidity. people dropping out like crazy with heatstroke. i drank 10 bottles of water and was still dehydrated at the end!”

Ottawa's historic Preston Street Criterium is back on June 14th, and we need an incredible crew to keep the rubber side down and the course secure.

We are thrilled to have The Biking Lawyer LLP as this year’s title sponsor. Just as they advocate for cyclists on the streets, our volunteer team ensures their protection on the race course.

Join our 2026 Volunteer Crew. We’re looking for fine folks to help with registration, course setup and tear down, and course marshalling. No bicycle race experience required!
