My hubby and I made a pretty big decision for our family… starting in October, our little guy is coming out of daycare and will be home with me full time. 🥹💕 And I am SO stoked about it. With our chickens, ducks, goats, guineas, our growing farm, and me learning more and more about cooking from scratch, having Levi home just makes sense for the life we’re building. I want him growing up learning where his food comes from, how to care for animals, how to work with his hands, and the value of living off the land. But truthfully? I also just miss him dearly when he isn’t with me. 🥹 Especially after walking through miscarriage this year, I find myself holding Levi a little tighter. Motherhood feels even more precious to me now, and I’m realizing just how quickly these years are going. Last year around this time, he was my tiny baby learning new things every day. Now he’s running around, helping with inside and outside chores, feeding livestock, and becoming this sweet little boy right before my eyes. 😭 I’m so proud of him, but goodness… I want to hold onto these days. So I’ve rearranged my life to make room for them. 💕
🎶 Mondays + Tuesdays: music teaching
💻 Wednesdays: admin + personal appointments
💄 Thursdays-Saturdays: family, friends + salon appointments
⛪ Sundays: church, rest + resetting our home
Last year, I didn’t have balance. I tried to do everything, all the time, and I burned myself out SO quickly. For the rest of 2026 and heading into 2027, I’m choosing to be much more intentional about where my time goes. Our babies become kiddos. Kiddos become teenagers. Teenagers become adults. And somehow it happens in the blink of an eye. I love working. I love creating. I love my businesses and the women and families I get to serve. But I love being Levi’s mama even more. 🥹🩷 Dallas and I have gone back and forth about how to make all of this work because I genuinely love both parts of my life. And I’m so thankful we’ve found a way for me to be a stay-at-home mama most of the time while still doing the work I love.
Having Sarah’s Beauty Boutique be appointment-only has made that SO much easier. It gives me the freedom to serve my clients while building my schedule around my family instead of building my family around my schedule. I’m building my dream life with the best hubby, raising our little boy on our farm, and intentionally creating the kind of childhood and home life I wish I had growing up. 💕✨
Breaking unhealthy generational patterns and choosing something different is fricken hard sometimes. But with the Lord leading us, we’re doing it one decision at a time. And now, quoting Hannah Montana because obviously 😂…
✨ I get the best of both worlds. ✨
Thank You, God, for making a way. Thank you to my amazing husband for building this life alongside me. And thank YOU to every single one of my clients who has been so understanding and supportive of my appointment-only schedule. Every appointment you book with me helps make this life possible for our little family, and that means more to me than you know. 🥹💕✨ Here’s to slower days, babies at home, farm chores, beauty appointments, music lessons, homemade meals, and building a life that actually feels like ours. 🤍🚜
