My sketches are not always on paper.
One of my favourite things about making jewellery is exploring different forms and putting them together to create pieces. This allows me to consider every angle and problem solve on how this piece will be worn.

Creating this commemorative ring was such an emotional experience. My in-laws were married for over 30 years. Grandpa Don lost his battle with pancreatic cancer a few years ago and left all of us heartbroken. My mother in law decided to combine their two wedding bands into one ring to honour their love and time together. We not only created this beautiful piece together, but now there are stones left over for future projects. It was a great feeling to be able to help her feel closer to her husband. Thank you for trusting me with this Denise Norrie. We love you ❤️.

Of course she said yes! After years of being together, house, kids, life, etc., her partner decided to treat her to this gorgeous 14K gold custom engagement ring with a stunning centre diamond. Each side embraces the diamond with more diamonds… because you can never have too many! Congratulations M&J ❤️.

I saw these sapphires and immediately knew what they needed to become. That violet blue just asked for a buttery 18k gold, scalloped diamond halo around it.

Earrings are the one thing that fit no matter what kind of day you’re having.

Digging through the archives and found this stack, and it genuinely made my day. Some of these started as pieces I made that later became engagement rings, when love found its way to them. The bands were designed and made from scratch, just to hug their rings perfectly.

I think about that a lot. That something I made at my bench ends up being the thing someone says yes to, or wears every day for the rest of their life.

So grateful to every client who’s let me be part of that. Truly the best part of this job.
