Today we’re flying from Toronto to New York for a very special trip.

First and foremost, we’re celebrating Mila’s 10th birthday — a milestone made even more meaningful by sharing it together as three generations of family.

At the same time, we’re preparing to celebrate another important milestone: 30 years of Global Stone in Canada. Over the next few days, we’ll be meeting with suppliers, exploring rare minerals, unique gemstone creations, and exceptional Colombian emeralds.

A journey filled with family, memories, discovery, and gratitude for the incredible adventure that began 30 years ago.

“Elena, what’s your favorite gemstone?”

I’m asked this almost every day.

My answer is simple: I’ve always been drawn to rare and exotic minerals.

For many years, we supplied rare rough crystals to a cutter who faceted them by hand for our collection. The resulting gems are unique, full of character, and often impossible to find elsewhere.

Today, we begin a series showcasing these rare faceted treasures Presented online and at The Global Stone Mineral Gallery.

Wandering through the old streets of downtown Toronto, I found a different kind of treasure. Something so beautiful, so unexpected…
I couldn’t keep it to myself. A little free library — decorated like a tiny jewelry box in the middle of the street. Take one . Leave one.
Share the treasure.

A study in light and stone. This chandelier was created especially for our space and brings together 24 natural quartz crystals — each individually selected and composed into a single installation.

Formed by nature over time, the crystals hold and transform light, revealing their depth, texture, and quiet glow.

Not mass-produced. Not replicated.
A one-of-a-kind piece.
