Angel Tear was the first necklace I ever created.

Not for a customer. Not for a collection. Not for a business.

I created it after losing a colleague who took his own life.

Like many first responders, he spent years carrying burdens most people never saw.

The uniform came off at the end of the shift, but the weight never did.

His loss changed me.

What started as one piece of jewelry became something much bigger. It became Bullets n Beads.

A reminder that even from pain, something meaningful can be created.

Every Angel Tear carries that story.

Some of the strongest men I know are fighting battles nobody can see.

They show up for work. They provide for their families. They carry stress, trauma, grief, responsibility, and pressure without ever talking about it.

Too often, men are taught that strength means staying silent.

It doesn't.

Strength is having the courage to say you're struggling.

Strength is asking for help.

Strength is reaching out when the weight becomes too much to carry alone.

This month, check on the men in your life. Not with a quick "How are you?" but with a genuine conversation.

Because sometimes one conversation can change everything.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month.
But for some of us...
Mental health isn't a month.
It's every day.
For almost 30 years, I wore a uniform.
I answered calls when people were having the worst day of their lives.
I carried what I saw.
I carried what I couldn't save.
And I carried what I was never supposed to talk about.
Today, I live with PTSD.
Some wounds aren't visible.
Some battles happen behind closed doors.
Some smiles hide incredible pain.
Mental health doesn't disappear when May ends.
The struggle doesn't end on June 1st.
Neither should the conversation.
If you're hurting...
If you're exhausted...
If you're carrying more than anyone knows...
Please reach out.
To a friend.
A family member.
A coworker.
A peer.
A professional.
To anyone.
You do not have to fight your battles alone.
You do not have to suffer in silence.
And asking for help is never weakness.

Today, I’m feeling incredibly grateful.

Grateful for the love in my life.
Grateful for the friends who show up, cheer me on, and keep me grounded.
Grateful for my family, whose support means more than words can express.
And grateful for the journey I’m on with Bullets n Beads—a business built from passion, purpose, and resilience.

This past year has brought its share of challenges and blessings, lessons and growth. It has reminded me that even through difficult seasons, there is always something to be thankful for.
