Created in Gastown Vancouver, BC Now Sarah balances her time between making jewelry and creating fine art and custom artwork for clients.

Designing and creating from her Gastown studio in downtown Vancouver, Sarah's designs are a reflection of her adventurous spirit. After graduating in 2000 with her Diploma in Fine Arts, Sarah traveled to Europe to study Art History, her first trip abroad further sparked her love for the arts. Financing her trip to Europe and later her Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts through the sales of jewelry, design became a full-time career in 2011. Sarah Mulder Jewelry is imagined, designed and finished in Vancouver, Canada. Sarah designs "Jewelry for City Dwellers with Bohemian Hearts" and focuses on statement pieces that can be tailored down to pair with everyday looks. Working with artisans, Sarah's designs are made from carved wax that are set in molds. The pieces are then finished in either 18k gold or 24k gold, silver or rhodium plating. Sarah pairs the designs with hand-cut semi-precious stones and finishes the jewelry in her studio in historic Gastown. Each piece is handmade to ensure a quality product.

Since the beginning of SMJ, one of our favourite parts of designing has been seeing who gravitates towards our jewelry, and how differently each person makes it their own.

There have always been pieces in our collections that feel fluid and go beyond traditional ideas of who jewelry is “for.” We love the diversity that comes with that: the same piece can feel completely different depending on who wears it, how they style it, and what it becomes a part of in their everyday life.

For FW26, designer Sarah Mulder leaned into this idea even further. The Bowery necklace, earrings and bracelet are sculptural, organic and intentionally easy to wear, pieces designed without gender in mind, and with the freedom to be interpreted in your own way.

Making SMJ a part of your day-to-day has always been at the heart of our design process. We want our jewelry to feel personal rather than prescriptive; to move between different styles, identities and ways of dressing, and ultimately become your own.

Our Granville island Summer Boutique and Art Gallery is open this long weekend 10-6pm and everyday after too! Located between the Glass Blowing studio & Broom Shop, you can’t miss us!

For over 15 years, SMJ has been designing hoops that have become everyday icons.

These are the styles you’ve returned to season after season, the ones you’ve collected, gifted, and worn on repeat.

So it was only natural to expand the size range of three of our bestselling staples.

Our new Fall release, is all about layering and playing with proportion. We’ve introduced both smaller and larger sizes, making it even easier to build your perfect ear stack.

We’re excited to unveil the new lineup to our retail partners at Toronto Market Week next weekend at the Licia Tobias|L.V.T Agency booth, before these pieces make their way to you.
