Who knew my high school math skills (and I was at the top of my class with my math) would actually come in handy? 📐✨

When I first started silversmithing, I thought it was all about creativity and design. I didn't realize how much of my day would be spent calculating circumferences, measuring gauges, and doing the exact kind of math I thought I left behind years ago!

But here's the truth: beautiful jewelry is built on precision.
Whether I'm calculating the exact length of silver wire needed for a ring, or measuring the perfect drop for an earring, there is no guessing. Every single piece in the Silver Collection is measured, cut, and shaped with absolute intention.
It takes time, it takes patience, and yes — it takes a little bit of math. But when a piece fits you perfectly and moves with you effortlessly, every single calculation is worth it.

That's me — sitting in a field of daisies, wearing the earrings and necklace I made with my own hands, eyes closed, completely at peace.

No event. No reason. Just a quiet Saturday afternoon in the Okanagan, feeling completely myself.

I think so many of us were taught that fine jewelry is something you save. Something you take out for weddings and anniversaries and special dinners. Something you're careful with, protective of — almost afraid to actually wear.
I want to gently challenge that.

Every shape begins with a single strike. 🔨✨

When you look at the finished pieces in the Silver Collection — the delicate ovals, the little stars, the tiny flowers — it's easy to forget that they all started as a flat sheet of sterling silver.

In my loft studio, I use this heavy steel disc cutter and a mallet to punch out those shapes by hand. It takes focus, a steady hand, and a very satisfying strike to cut cleanly through the metal. It's loud, it's physical, and it's one of my favourite parts of the entire process.

There is something so grounding about taking raw materials and physically shaping them into something beautiful. It reminds me that we all have the power to shape our own stories — one intentional strike at a time.

When I designed these, I wanted to create a piece that felt both architectural and completely effortless. The slender 1" rectangular drop catches the light with a quiet, subtle grace every time you turn your head. It’s a modern shape, but it feels timeless.

In my loft studio, I shape each of these sterling silver drops by hand. The tube setting is carefully soldered into place before I hand-set the 4mm gemstone — a refined little focal point that adds just the right touch of personal colour.

I designed them with a secure sterling silver ear wire and rubber nut so they are incredibly lightweight. You can put them on in seconds and they will stay comfortably in place from your morning coffee to your evening out.
