it feels like a long time since i’ve made earrings. parts of these have lived on my bench unfinished for a long.. long… long time. this beautiful ethiopian welo opal is faceted and catches the light in such a magical way, perfect for the movement these will get. these will be available at for the summer solstice weekend ✌🏼✨ always, one of a kind.

i have stashed this stone for a long time, intending to make something for myself. but these days… i’m working with material deep, deep in my stash. i loved this botswana agate from the moment i saw it. the deep purple and delicate, tight layers, and circular patterns are mesmerizing. i am really kind of obsessed with how this ring finished. she’s a size 7.5, and i’m not sure if she will make it to market, but if she does it will be at for summer solstice ✌🏼✨

i have this excitement that is building as i put together a few new pieces. this week was rough - i was taken out with a flu that had me in bed all day instead of getting to sit down to work and create. but i managed to get a couple new pieces completed for today’s pop up market. this piece is probably my favourite. a material i am always drawn to, moss agate, in a dramatic cut, decoratively framed. she’s a size 6 if she calls to anyone, and available!!

i’ve been pretty quiet on the jewellery front, and i’ll be honest with you, it’s been hard for me to continue. it’s a combination of things - the amount of time i have had to spend making things, and the amount of energy and space i’ve had available in my brain for art has all changed. and it has continued to shift and evolve. i wasn’t sure if i would come back to a place where i got back to that craft, honestly. and things have changed in the world that affect my craft a lot - namely, the cost of precious metals has gone up considerably. but… here we are. i have had a couple projects on my conscious, one of which was this very special set for a very dear friend. an engagement ring, and wedding band for people who reject the social expectations and norms. this was the first project i sat down to do in probably the last 4 years that came to me very organically and flowed easily. a snake to symbolize growth and transformation, and a rose that is eternally in bloom to symbolize love. the ultimate goal being that love can stand with us and support us and cradle us as we continue to grow and transform through life and the partnerships we form.
all this to say… i think i’m back? but at a slower pace, very intentional work. back yo the tiny details, symbolism, and hidden meanings i love. and with the confidence to value my time in a way that feels good, and not rushed. thanks for being here, along for the ride as i navigate this chapter of life ✌🏼 happy uranus in gemini, from this gemini rising 🪐👽✨
