Apparently it's been a hot minute since I posted my mantel decor (since 2022!!!). I was going for bountiful fall harvest vibes here. Tucked in a castle by Karen Furey and the kept up the painting I did years ago in a one on one lesson from Linda Byrne . This is going to come down today or tomorrow as I put up Halloween. I'll try and remember to post that too.

A new chainmaille set made with hand-sawed solid copper rings featuring a byzantine link and rose design, and blue-green stone beads. Finished it just in time for the Lagoon Festival this coming Saturday. Details on that on the Arts&CultureColwoodSociety website. Hope to see you there! (I hear there will be apple picking and a c***r press!) I'll post some new w**e glass designs soon too, which will also be available at the Lagoon Fest.

My dining room table is in full production mode as I work on multiple sets of w**e glasses at once. Since I spend a lot of time waiting for layers to dry, it helps to have a few sets to rotate through so that ideally the first ones I worked on are dry and ready for the next layer by the time I finish the last (and give my back and neck a quick stretch)! Plus it's fun seeing different designs evolve next to each other. What does your creative workflow look like?

I really had fun with this, and I'm thinking of doing some w**e glass goblets in this style so people can feel mystical while sipping their magical mixes and crafty concoctions. Shifting gears from jewellery to painted glassware this week. Here are some progress shots on some w**e glasses and a potion bottle. I'm almost at my fav part where I layer on some gold shimmer!

As you can see, I'm getting started on my autumnal items. I think the fern-inspired ones work for all seasons though, even if I'm giving them hints of autumn colours around the edges of their leaves. And who doesn't like a Halloweeny goblet year round?
