Windup NYC is always one of the highlights of our year, and this year’s edition is shaping up to be the biggest one yet. We’ll be back at Center415 for three days of watches, conversations, and catching up with the incredible NYC watch community.
At the Formex booth, you’ll be able to meet our team and experience our latest releases in person, including the new AirField collection, the Aria Manufacture Chronometer, and something very new that we’re not quite ready to reveal just yet.
Come by, say hello, try on some watches, and spend some time with the team. We’re looking forward to seeing many familiar faces and meeting plenty of new ones.

Power+ Movement and Case Back

The AirField introduces the Sellita SW200-2 Power+ to the Field collection. Its power reserve increases from 41 to 65 hours, enough to take the watch off for more than two days and pick it up again without having to reset the time and date.

It is a technical upgrade with a very practical benefit.

On the case back, the aviation story continues. The solid hardened titanium plate depicts a classic radial aircraft engine and propeller, a mechanical reference to an era when aviation, engineering and watchmaking became increasingly interconnected.

Alex Toril

From Track to Flight. Alex Toril is a longtime Formex friend and motorsports ambassador who has since traded the steering wheel of a race car for the yoke of his Beechcraft King Air 90.
Our relationship with Alex began through motorsport. A professional racing driver, he has been part of the Formex world for years and continues to coach Raphael whenever they head out for a track day.

Today, Alex spends much of his time in a very different cockpit.

He is now a captain and runs , operating executive and ambulance flights.

His plane of choice is the Beechcraft King Air 90, a robust twin-engine turboprop renowned for its safety, reliability and versatility.

And when it came time to photograph the AirField, we knew exactly which aircraft we wanted alongside it. The King Air’s stealthy grey appearance and five-blade propellers made it the perfect backdrop.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Alex’s favorite AirField is the Desert Sand. Its warm dial tone fits naturally with Cowboy Air’s Western-inspired uniform, while the Caraffa Brown leather strap adds a subtle touch of classic aviator style, reminiscent of a pilot’s leather flight jacket.

From racetracks to runways, it felt only fitting to bring Alex, the King Air and the AirField together.

Titanium, Straps and Comfort

The AirField’s 40 mm case is made from Grade 2 titanium and weighs just 54 grams before the strap.

To make that lightweight case considerably tougher, the titanium receives a special hardening treatment that increases its surface hardness to approximately 900 Vickers, around five times the surface hardness of conventional stainless steel.

A screw-down crown and 150 meters of water resistance complete the package.

Then there’s how you wear it. The elastic nylon straps are lightweight, water-resistant and washable, with a simple Velcro closure. For a more refined setup, the AirField can be paired with our leather straps and carbon fiber composite deployant clasp. Its patented mechanism provides 7 mm of gradual fine adjustment, allowing the fit to be adapted throughout the day without changing strap holes or removing the watch. Every strap uses quick release, so switching between them takes seconds and requires no tools.

Dial, Legibility and Lume

The AirField dial was designed around immediate readability. Broad sword-shaped hands give the hour and minute clear visual weight. The Arabic hour markers and numerals are recessed into the dial and individually hand-filled with Super-LumiNova.

At 12 o’clock, the characteristic triangle-and-dot orientation marker makes the top of the dial instantly recognizable. Around it all, a sloped chapter ring rises toward the sapphire crystal, creating depth without adding unnecessary height.

And at six o’clock, our signature beveled date window improves visibility from different viewing angles while helping prevent the surrounding dial from casting a shadow over the date.

There’s a lot happening here. The point is that you shouldn’t have to notice any of it to read the time.

Tarmac Grey

Technical, understated and just a little bit stealthy. Tarmac Grey combines its finely grained surface with white BGW9 Super-LumiNova and a red-tipped seconds hand.

Recessed Arabic numerals and the sloped chapter ring give the dial depth, while the matching grey date wheel keeps everything visually integrated.

The AirField’s sloped chapter ring creates additional depth around the perimeter of the dial without adding unnecessary height to the watch itself.

It is aviation-inspired without needing to shout about it.

Jet Black

The AirField at its most instrument-like. Jet Black puts contrast first.

White BGW9-filled numerals and broad sword-shaped hands stand sharply against the finely grained black dial, while the matching black date wheel keeps the display uninterrupted. The long, slender seconds hand adds one of the AirField’s more subtle aviation details, with its aircraft-shaped counterweight only revealing itself on closer inspection.

Simple at first glance. More detailed the closer you get.

Horizon Blue

Somewhere between cockpit instruments and open sky. The Horizon Blue pairs the AirField’s finely grained dial with crisp white BGW9 Super-LumiNova, creating strong contrast by day and powerful visibility after dark.

Broad sword-shaped hands, recessed and hand-filled Arabic numerals and the orientation marker at 12 make the dial immediately easy to read. A color-matched date wheel at six o’clock keeps the display clean and integrated.

The recessed numerals, sloped chapter ring and color-matched date wheel are all part of the new AirField dial architecture.
