Minase is a Japanese watch brand that’s been around since 2005 but before that they’ve actually been a precision manufacturer since the 1960’s so you know they are doing some incredible work and now they have partnered up with on some stunning dial work!

More than a watch. A work of art. The Minase Divido Yusai “Otherwise than Being” is the result of an extraordinary collaboration with Japanese artist Towa Takaya. Combining Minase’s distinctive case construction and exceptional finishing with the artist’s unique Yusai technique, the dial reveals fascinating layers of color, structure, light and depth, creating an almost otherworldly effect. Limited to just 10 pieces worldwide, each watch is a celebration of artistic expression and Japanese craftsmanship.

Windows takes its name from its distinctive case construction, designed to create the impression of looking through a window into the heart of the watch.

In traditional Japanese architecture, windows are more than simple openings. They frame views, invite light inside and create a connection between interior and exterior spaces. The WINDOWS follows a similar philosophy, with openings along its case that reveal the intricate construction of the watch from unexpected angles.

A fascinating interplay of shapes, light and perspectives, where Japanese philosophy meets contemporary watchmaking.

The new Minase Mastercraft J3 pays tribute to MINASE’S very first model, hence the distinctly ’70s look of its cushion-shaped case and integrated bracelet. But this is far from simply looking back. The sharp finishing, distinctive dial and beautifully executed details give it a thoroughly modern presence on the wrist. A cool blend of Japanese craftsmanship, character and retro design.
