Gandaberunda was the emblem of the Kingdom of Mysuru, and after India was united, it was kept by Mysuru State as its emblem. Mysuru State was renamed Karnataka in 1973, and the Gandabherunda is the official state emblem of Karnataka.

Rolex just dropped this crazy multicolour Oyster Perpetual. They claim that the dial is inspired by their Jubilee motif introduced in 1970s with contrastig display of multiple colors.

But the design seems awfully similar to Italian artist Alighiero Boetti’s iconic artwork.

It is ironic because Rolex is literally the most knocked-off watch brand on earth… but this time, it looks like they pulled the Uno Reverse card on taking "inspiration".
