So, my white gold A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 has a partner now. My WG Lange 1 is from 2025, this one is from 2004. Thankfully, it comes fresh from the spa in Glashütte and will give me troublefree joy for years to come. Also, it is fitted with a butter soft brown calf strap from Delugs that looks so hot with rose gold.

I am no Brad Pitt. Even with shades, a bucket hat or a racing helmet I dont look remotely like him.

However, wearing the Historiques 222, I FEEL a bit like the coveted Hollywood star.

This 37 mm looker was originally launched in 1977 for the 222th anniversay of the esteemed maison. Then relaunced in gold in 2022 and now also offered in steel with a blue dial.

The 222 is cherized by Brad Pitt and many other fans of fine watches, but this - this is one of not many.

Is it just me, or is the A. Lange & Söhne Odysseus in white gold finally getting some deserved appreciation? Introduced in 2020, one year after the steel version with its blue dial, the white gold version brought a grey dial and strap options to the table instead of a bracelet. And judging by what I’m seeing, it has won over a few more wrists than it did a year or so ago. Personally, I love it on the black rubber strap, but I am also impatiently waiting for the steel version to arrive. In the meantime though, the white gold Odysseus is my jam.

I had to go all the way to Svalbard to finally get the illustrious IWC Schaffhausen Ingenieur 50th Anniversary on my wrist. And it was worth it!! IMHO, it’s the best modern Ingenieur and a stunning ode to IWCs “most brilliant failure” ref. 1832 from 1976. Do you agree?

For more than 30 years, has been the watch of 007.

Now, for the first time, Bond and Spectre come together in one Seamaster Diver 300M collection, proving that Omega also backs the baddies.

Bond gets a blue wave-pattern dial and a grade 5 titanium bezel. His coat of arms is elegantly indicated at the 12-marker.

Spectre has a black, grained dial and a black ceramic bezel.

Each carries its famed motifs on the rotor: the gun-barrel motif for Bond, the Spectre symbol for the villain iteration.

Both come on a brushed mesh bracelet (try saying this, sounding like Sean Connery).

The movement is not top secret: Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806, METAS-certified of course.
