Throwback to John McEnroe project.

John McEnroe wanted his watch to have a modern and elegant look, full of finesse. Extremely technical and audacious, The John McEnroe Challenge is characterized by an entirely skeletonized movement, graphic lines, and monochromes tones.

A distinctive feature of this unique timepiece, the crown has been repositioned to the left, so that John “Lefty” can continue to wear it during his games without risking injury.

Details from Val Viola project:

Crafted from tungsten, the oscillating weight is fitted with a guilloché insert treated with MorphoColor®️.

The balance bridge is a signature of Artisans de Genève.

The dial was entirely hand-guilloché with an exceptionally precise motif, creating reliefs that catch the light and change appearance depending on the viewing angle.

The crown continues this interplay of contrasts with a matching insert to the bezel.

Crafted from green aventurine and complemented by a mother-of-pearl insert, the moonphase complication echoes the interplay of light brought to life by the guilloché while extending the watch’s overall aesthetic.
