Another unicorn in the latest auction which is happening now is this Marco Lang Zweigesicht-1. A watch which I wanted to film since ages. A one of 18 pieces limited edition with as many details as you can imagine. You can flip the dial with a proprietary system and tools. The amount of hand finishing, unique components, and handcraft is hard to describe in a single Instagram post. When we shot our youtube watch shopping video in their big and awesome Lucerne store. I stumbled upon a watch which really made me think. It was this gem from Zenith, the G.F.J. with a striking green jasper bloodstone center dial, a green mother of pearl small seconds dial and guilloche minute track. The hand-wound Calibre 135 inside is a modern re-engineering of Zenith’s legendary observatory-chronometry movement, retaining its eccentric offset centre wheel and huge balance wheel. Another rare mechanical gem by . To film these complex watches, it’s always a pleasure. Especially when I can go in great detail like with this Four-Axis Tourbillon. I love complex movements, and three-dimensionality in watches. The movement consists of a total 485 components with so many moving parts. From the central two-arm carousel spinning every 60 seconds, to the flying triple-axis tourbillon rotating on 60, 18, and 15-second cycles. As well as a beautiful backplate made out of opal. In case you didn’t know, this watch has a patented 1/6th-second constant force remontoire, and an always-upright dial so it’s all in the same style. A highly visual watch and very stimulating to look at. 😍

Jessica and Maarten decided to launch their own brand called Atelier Pieters. Their first creation is a 60-second tourbillon with a power reserve indicator. The indication is prominently displayed on the caseback with an assortment of special components, as well as on the dial with a small aperture. The movement is crafted in their picturesque atelier, where Maarten mainly focuses on component crafting and Jessica on the finishing.

Selten Watch & Watch Ho & Co. pesent their latest collaboration - Yum Cha (飲茶), limited to only 100 pieces. To commemorate the 3rd anniversary of the community, Selten & Watch Ho. & Co created a special watch. Featuring approximately 3’500 hand engraved lines on the dial, 8 layers of hand-applied enamel, a manual winding Sellita movement and a very special box & warm story accompanying the project.
