Did you know that US troops brought Coca Cola to the South Pacific so they could taste a little bit of home ? During WWII the soldiers were stationed in the island Community of Vanuatu , which also inspired the film ‚Tales of the South Pacific‘ and after the war ended the Coca Cola bottles were left in the jungle. Somehow the bottles found their way into the Ocean and to date you can still find these pieces of history on a beach on the island of Efate.

Back in 2016 Craig and I collected a few pieces and brought them back to Scotland. This year our limited edition of the sea glass advent calendar features a piece of Coca Cola sea glass from Vanuatu 🇻🇺! It’s the first time ever and it’s an amazing treasure for any sea glass collector ❤️

Wet or dry??? How do you prefer your sea glass?

Seaham multis are absolutely stunning either way, but if you sprinkle them with water they really sparkle like gemstones 💎!!

When used in decorative art and tableware, neodymium glass is often called Alexandrite glass.

Color Shift: It absorbs and transmits light uniquely depending on the light source. In natural sunlight, it appears a reddish-violet, lilac, or pink. In artificial, fluorescent, or white light, it shifts to a smoky blue or pale green

Thunderbolts!!! What do you call these fossils? In Germany they are called ‘Donnerkeil’ which literally translates to thunderbolts.

We also know them as Belemnites and they come from pre historic squid 🦑. These were found on the Baltic coast and there is one inside each advent calendar! Another first - a treasure that’s never been included before 😃

This year’s super early launch features 10 new treasures that have never been included in our advent calendar and one of them is a 50 million year old Thunderbolt from Germany’s coast.
