🧡Transparent orange is a semi-transparent, lightfast, brilliant orange-red from our HORADAM watercolour series.
It is a single-pigment shade (containing the pigment PO71) and is, amongst other things, ideal for mixing new colours. 🧡

🎨 This year we have expanded our AKADEMIE watercolour range from 24 to 40 colours 🎨

Historic MUSSINI special shades from the 1930s - Cochineal red and Stil de grain
These two colours are historical shades that are not available in our standard MUSSINI range. As part of this year’s annual retro promotion, we are reviving these special colours 🥰

Stil de grain:
- as in the past, the pigment is extracted from buckthorn (NY 13)
- delicate transparent shade with a colour spectrum ranging from brown to yellowish, depending on application and use
- Perfect for underpaintings and colour gradients

Cochineal red:
- as in the past, the pigment is extracted from cochineal scale insects (NR4:1)
- a vibrant, transparent, deep red

Keep in mind, this are limited-edition shades – available as long as stock lasts in 15 ml tubes.

🩶RANDOM GREY 2026🩶
This limited HORADAM watercolour is a semi- opaque, warm, granulating grey. It is among other applications also a beautiful shadow colour or fabulous for monochrome paintings. 🥰

Story of our Random Grey series: it's an unique shade of grey, formulated each year from leftover pigments. With the random mixture of pigments, each year’s edition results in a different, unique grey tone.😍

Based on the DIN 201 standard, this set contains nine HORADAM watercolours that were once used by architects, technical draughtsmen and cadastral surveyors to produce their technical drawings. An interesting fact: each colour represents a specific construction material and its use (e.g. orange for bronze and wood, purple for cast steel, dark green for light metals or wire coils, and grey for concrete and quarry stone masonry).

Anyone who uses these colours for artistic purposes rather than technical ones will immediately notice that all of the selected watercolours are not only very harmonious and versatile when used on their own, but also produce a wide range of other brilliant shades when mixed together. Thus, in addition to its special retro style, this historic box also provides the perfect basis for all applications in modern watercolour painting.

💚May green is a semi-transparent, traditional brilliant yellow-green with good lightfastness from our HORADAM watercolour series. It is among other applications also a perfect for landscape painting and painting florals.
May green contains the pigments PG7, PY151 and it is also a fabulous base for mixing other beautiful colours 💚
