A rare view beneath the sigature Glashütte three-quarter plate.

Historically developed to provide stability for the movement and protection for the gear train, the three-quarter plate has become a hallmark of Glashütte watchmaking tradition. While highly functional, it conceals what lies beneath.

A glimpse into the Tutima 617 in-house caliber reveals the precisely engineered interplay of its components, transmitting energy from the mainspring barrel through the gear train and the in-house pallet fork to the free-sprung oscillation system with its hand-bent Breguet overcoil.

The minute, third, and seconds wheels demonstrate the highest level of artisanal craftsmanship, with recessed, mirror-polished areas and beveled spokes.

The hand-stitched seam of the cognac-colored sheepskin leather strap echoes the warm gold tones of the 18-karat gold hands. Set within the refined interior of Hotel Beau-Rivage, our Suite 327 became a welcoming meeting point for personal exchange and the presentation of our latest novelties. Against the backdrop of Lake Geneva, with Mont Blanc in the distance, we welcomed collectors, media representatives, retailers, and watch enthusiasts from around the world to discover Tutima Glashütte and the precision, finishing, and craftsmanship behind our timepieces.

At the heart of the presentation were the Patria special editions, limited to 9 + 9 pieces as a tribute to our 99th year and in anticipation of our centennial celebration.

Subtle on the outside, striking within.

The sapphire crystal caseback reveals the finest of Glashütte watchmaking. Spanning much of the manual-winding in-house caliber Tutima 617, the characteristic three-quarter plate features Glashütte ribbing, gold chatons, and hand-beveled edges. Sunburst finishes adorn the ratchet and crown wheels, while the open-worked balance c**k provides an unobstructed view of the in-house free-sprung oscillation system.

Comprising 171 parts and offering a power reserve of at least 65 hours when fully wound, the utmost attention to detail is placed at the heart of the Patria with the Tutima 617 caliber.

Two metals that could hardly be more different. The one: lightweight, resilient, and highly functional. The other: precious, warm, and the very embodiment of enduring value. The new Patria brings together a highly polished Grade 5 titanium case and hands made of solid 18-karat gold.

Like the Tutima 617 in-house caliber that sets them in motion, the hands are crafted in the Glashütte atelier. Further touches of warmth emerge on the silver-white dial, as the diamond-cut indices and the brand emblem are rendered in a gold tone.

Engineered for use in the air, this three-hand watch delivers exceptional legibility in the c**kpit – and far beyond. Standing in clear contrast against the black lacquered dial are the lance-shaped hour and minute hands, bold Arabic numerals, and baton-shaped hour markers.

Thanks to Super-LumiNova material, the time remains readable even in challenging light conditions. This is further enhanced by the triangular 12 o’clock index, which serves as a visual anchor for the wearer while providing additional orientation at a glance.
