OMEGA Seamaster Chronograph Ref. 145.016-68

Back on its original OMEGA stainless steel bracelet — and looking exactly as it should.

The bracelet brings a whole new presence to this late-1960s Seamaster Chronograph, perfectly complementing the sharp case lines and original circular brushed finish. Together, they capture an era when Omega was creating some of its most distinctive and outstanding designs.

The beautifully preserved black dial has developed a subtle glossy patina over the decades, while the crisp white printing and contrasting tachymeter scale remain remarkably fresh.

The case is exceptionally sharp and appears unpolished, retaining its original circular brushing and strong edges. Original hands and crystal complete the picture, while the legendary manually wound Calibre 861 sits beneath the caseback.

With its original OMEGA bracelet, this Seamaster feels even more complete — a striking combination of late-1960s design, mechanical heritage, and beautifully preserved details.

A vintage Omega with plenty of character, now in its classic all-steel configuration.

HEUER Carrera 3647NT – Rare Black Tachymeter Dial – Valjoux 92

This is going to be a difficult one to put in a shipping box.

I love the way the white tachymeter scale sits around this black dial. Fine printing, two beautifully recessed registers, slim steel markers and those dark honey-coloured tritium plots. Have a proper look at the close-up. There is a lot to enjoy here.

The 3647NT is exceptionally rare. The three-register 2447NT may get more attention, but its two-register relative is hardly easier to find. And finding one with a dial like this is a rather different challenge again.

Almost flawless, with intact original tritium plots, lovely even patina and original tritium in the hands too. For me, this dial would be very hard to better.

The case is beautifully sharp and possibly unpolished. The caseback has been polished and carries some marks. Inside, the manual-winding Valjoux 92 is running with strong amplitude and good accuracy.

The Desert Drift suede strap brings out the warmth of the lume, finished with a new HEUER pin buckle.

IWC Ingenieur 3508 – 500,000 A/m – Glossy Black Tritium Dial

I know the interesting bit is supposed to be the magnetic resistance. But look at those hour markers.

The finely ridged finish against that glossy black dial is just beautiful. It’s the sort of detail you miss in a quick scroll, then spend ten minutes looking at once you’ve noticed it.

This one dates to around 1992. Just 34 mm, a steel bracelet and enough engineering inside to justify a much longer conversation. Only 614 steel-on-steel examples are recorded across the dial colours, so it’s a conversation you don’t get to have every day.

IWC called it the 500,000 A/m. Catchy. You can tell the engineers got to name this one.

More photos, the story behind that number and all condition details are on the website—including the small repair to the minute hand.

HEUER Carrera 1153S – Silver Dial – Calibre 12

This one has already sold through our Early Bird channel, but I thought it was far too good-looking to leave off here.

The silver sunburst dial is lovely in the light. From this angle it has an almost ch*****ne warmth, with the dark grey registers and matching tachymeter scale giving it just the right amount of contrast. Look closely and you can see the fine concentric grooves in the registers, too.

The black details in the applied hour markers pick up the dark hour and minute hands. Then there’s that bright orange chronograph hand. One small splash of colour, and it makes the whole watch.

I’m particularly fond of the lume: all original and intact, including the little plots above the markers, aged to a soft cream tone. There are minor signs of age on the dial and hands, but that’s part of what makes this example so appealing.

The case is sharp, with lovely brushing across the top and a polished surround that catches the light. Only minor wear, a serviced automatic Calibre 12 inside, and our warm brown “The Ashwood” racing strap to finish it off.

The strap has racing holes, but the buyer was clearly quick enough without them.

OMEGA Seamaster Chronograph Ref. 145.016-68 – Reverse Panda Dial – Calibre 861

Yes, the blue hand is part of the appeal. And yes, you do find these on some examples.

But have a look at the dial as well. The dark surface has developed a mottled, speckled patina, with warm cream registers and a matching outer scale.
There’s quite a lot going on when you look closely, and I like it.

This Seamaster dates to around 1968/69 and measures 38 mm. The case is still sharp, with visible brushing and signs of wear. Inside is a serviced Calibre 861, and it comes on our Desert Drift strap.

Black dial, cream registers, sandy strap. All very sensible.
Then the blue hand turns up.

HEUER Autavia 73463 MH – Black Dial, Grey Registers & Orange Accents – Villeneuve Colours

I put this one on the Desert Drift strap and then spent rather too long looking at it.

Black dial, grey registers and orange hands and accents—that’s the Villeneuve colour combination.

The warm vanilla lume really brings this one together. All the dial lume is intact, and the dial itself is in lovely condition.
Those orange sections in the grey minute counter are a particular favourite.

The case is sharp, with signs of wear, and the MH click bezel has picked up a few marks too.

Original crystal, crown and pushers, with a serviced hand-wound Valjoux 7734 inside.

One of the occupational hazards of selling watches is finding reasons to keep them. The strap hasn’t helped.

Same same, but different.

HEUER Carrera 7853S vs. 1153S.
Silver dials, dark grey registers, C-case — close enough to confuse normal people, different enough to keep collectors occupied for years.

The 7853S: Valjoux 7734, manual wind, slimmer case.
The 1153S: Cal. 12, automatic, thicker case.

So, what’s the better compromise?

Wind it yourself and enjoy the slimmer profile — or let Cal. 12 do the work and accept a little more metal on the wrist?

A very small difference, until you start caring about Heuers.

Then it becomes important for no sensible reason.

HEUER Lemania Chronograph 510.500 – 1986 – Calibre 5100

A good example of Heuer’s less frequently discussed 1980s chronographs.

The 510.50X series arrived during the Piaget/Lemania ownership period, replacing the Pasadena in the catalogue by 1983. It continued through the transition to TAG Heuer, with the 510.500 appearing under both names. This HEUER-signed example dates to 1986, the year of the changeover.

The broad steel case and closely fitted original bracelet give it a cohesive, integrated-bracelet look. On the black dial, the orange chronograph hands sit alongside tritium that has aged to a lovely creamy vanilla. The date disc has aged to match.

The dial is flawless. The case remains sharp despite some minor polishing, and the original HEUER bracelet is full length at 21 cm, with its signed clasp.

The creamy tritium and matching date disc are particularly pleasing. A small detail, admittedly, but collecting vintage watches is mostly an accumulation of those.

HEUER Carrera 110.573B – Tropical Dial

A dial that decided to change colour completely—and somehow came out better.

The dial began life in 1974 as luminous metallic blue with a Côtes de Genève finish. Over the years, warm golden and brown tones have moved across the surface, becoming darker toward the outside and lighter in the centre.

Add the orange chronograph hands, creamy lume and still-sharp white printing, and you get the kind of dial that looks slightly different every time the light changes.

The 39 mm barrel-shaped case shows signs of polishing but still wears very well. The caseback sticker remains present, together with the original HEUER hang-tag.

It comes on its full-length original HEUER bracelet with signed clasp, in very good condition and with almost no stretch.

Inside is the automatic Buren Calibre 12, checked and working well, with our 12-month warranty.

It may have started as a blue Carrera, but time clearly had other plans.
No complaints from us.

ZENITH A273 Chronograph – Silver Dial – Calibre 146HP

This is one of those watches that quietly causes a problem.

You look once, look again, then start wondering which watch could leave the box to make room for it.

The A273 dates from the late 1960s, shortly before the El Primero took over the headlines. At 37 mm it sounds fairly restrained, but the wide dial and long, straight lugs give it plenty of presence.

The silver dial is original and untouched. It has some patina, a few marks and warm, aged lume. Not perfect—and not supposed to be. Add the blued-steel hands and those three recessed registers, and it all just works.

The stainless-steel case appears unpolished. There are scratches and signs of wear, but the edges and lug facets are still sharp. Exactly how we like to find them.

Inside is the hand-wound ZENITH calibre 146HP. We could write another three paragraphs about it, but those already searching for one have probably stopped reading by now.

Paired with our plain 19 mm “The Ashwood” Horween Chromexcel strap and an original vintage ZENITH pin buckle.

Available now at watchurbia.com — link in bio.

And yes, you probably do have room in the box.
