Initial lubrication takes place directly after the chain has been assembled.

The initial lubrication is extremely important as it is the basis for a controlled initial elongation and a long chain wear life. The appropriate lubricant should therefore be carefully selected.

Lubrication of chains is another important point when talking about maintenance.

Lubrication of your chains is essential as it prolongs the chain lifetime and at the same time makes a contribution to the environment. However, it is important to choose a suitable lubricant for your application because improper lubricants e.g. can be harmful to your staff and the environment.

Now questions arise: Which chain lubricants shall the user select? How is one to deal with applications in which chains cannot be lubricated? And how does efficient lubrication work and how can it be handled most simple, economic and sustainable?

Ready for the baking process?

Last week we focused on the fermentation and the processing of bread. Once those steps have been run through, the next thing to do, is convey the bread dough to the ovens.

In large industrial productions, the cut bread dough is being transported through the ovens with the help of conveying chains. Understandably, chains in such applications must be extremely heat resistant. For this purpose the iwis bush conveyor chains or high-quality chains with attachments are the right tools.

Now that we already produced the dough last time, what is next? - The processing and fermentation of the dough!

Those are two very vital steps of producing bread. The dough must now be portioned and shaped. This brings us one step closer to our finished bread. This production step can be easily mastered with our iwis coated roller chains or the flat top chains .

After the dough is ready and formed, it must be fermented. For this purpose, proofing chambers are used in which the dough is mixed with enzymes and then fermented properly by combining it with heat. Hollow pin chains from iwis are ideal for this purpose.
