- Legepladsen i Skydebanehaven: start with the architecture, red brick and a door you’ll want to stare at. Behind it? An adorable playground for kids in the heart of Vesterbro 🧒

- Alle Tiders: order a coffee, grab a newspaper, stay two hours. This is Meatpacking (Kþdbyen), the part of Vesterbro with the best slow-morning energy ☕

- Heidi & Bjarne: an adorable shop for kids’ clothes. Impossible to walk past the pink storefront đŸ©·

- Girlie Hurly: one of our fav shops on Vesterbrogade. Handmade ceramics in every color, and much more, dangerous if you travel with only a carry-on đŸș

- Gallery Poulsen: a free art gallery in Meatpacking (Kþdbyen). Walk in, wander, stay longer than planned 🎹

- agostino_cph : new Roman pasta in Copenhagen. The glowing window you’ll want to walk straight into 🍝

- Still Agostino: fresh handmade pasta, and the reason to book a table.

- Skydebanegade: yellow facades, tall trees, a bike passing by. Walk without a plan đŸšČ

- SzĂłba: a second-hand shop, and it’s cool. The kind where you go in “just to look” đŸ§„

What to see Vesterbro | Copenhagen best places

We went for the castle, but honestly, the drive was half the pleasure. 🍂
On the way to we kept looking out of the window. The road curved through trees turning yellow, orange and red, and we were already enjoying our day before we’d even reached Hillerþd.
I love it when that happens. You plan a trip around one place, then realise how much you would have missed if you’d only been thinking about getting there.

And the castle 🏰 ? It certainly lived up to the visit. Huge rooms, beautiful ceilings, so many details that we kept stopping and looking up.
Outside, we took our time in the gardens, found a place to sit by the water and enjoyed the view back towards the castle. Seeing it from there is a whole other part of the experience.

If you’re planning an autumn day out from Copenhagen, this is one we’d happily do again. Just give yourself time to enjoy the way there, too. đŸ€Ž

Think you’ve seen a big pumpkin? Wait until you meet this one. 🎃👀

Weighing an incredible 1,198 kg, the biggest pumpkin in the Nordics is now on display at Tivoli Gardens!

If you’re spending October in Copenhagen, add this to your autumn plans: giant pumpkins, glowing lights and all the Halloween magic that makes Tivoli feel extra special this time of year. 🍂✹

You can see all 10 pumpkins from the championship throughout the Halloween season, until 1 November.

Meet the heaviest pumpkin ever grown in the Nordics 🎃

Tivoli is dressed for autumn, with glowing pumpkins, seasonal colours and a competition where the pumpkins are anything but ordinary.

This year’s winner? An incredible 1,198 kg, grown by Peter Holst Olsen, a new Danish and Nordic record! Imagine growing something that heavy in your garden. đŸ€Ż

You can see all 10 competition pumpkins during Halloween at Tivoli, until 1 November. And from 22–25 October, they’ll be carved into giant jack-o’-lanterns and sculptures.

You know the view. But have you heard who’s moved in?
Looking out over Copenhagen’s colourful rooftops has always been a good reason to come up here. Now there’s another: baked goods from .

The team behind Flere Fugle has taken over the café on top of the Danish Film Institute, now called Fuglene pÄ taget. Naturally, we went up to have a look
 and a taste.

The setting is just as we remembered it. The news is what’s on the table: Flere Fugle pastries, coffee, and an offering that also includes lunch, dinner, w**e and snacks.

We love Flere Fugle, so finding their baked goods up here feels like a lovely excuse to revisit this Copenhagen spot. Preferably with a friend and enough time for another coffee. đŸ€
