There are easier ways to put a piece of Ireland on your wrist. We just couldn't think of one that interested us quite as much.

Connemara marble, found in the west of Ireland, is celebrated for its distinctive green colour and natural variation. It isn't a material you encounter particularly often in watchmaking, which naturally made it rather appealing to us. Instead of cutting conventional stone dials, however, we decided to crush the marble, reconstruct it as a composite, and see whether we could persuade it to do something a little more unexpected... A little more... Arcanaughty.

The result is the ARC II — Chronomara, a watch that looks almost ancient in daylight, with its misty green dial and warm 9-karat gold accents, but reveals a considerably more contemporary personality when the lights go out.

A little Irish geology, a healthy dollop of Danish experimentation, and a frankly unreasonable amount of time spent figuring out how to make stone glow.

Googly-Eyed Gobstopper. Perhaps the most British name we've ever given a watch dial. Only fitting, then, that it came out red, white, and blue for the good old Union Flag.

The colour bleed on this model is deliberately controlled to show the shift from one layer to another without allowing for too much particulate or messiness.

To get a dial like this just right, has to roll the dice. He's lost more than he's managed to save. The risk, however, is worth it, because what we're left with is a moment of history frozen in time, protected within either our 40.5 or 37 mm ARC II case, water-resistant to 100 metres.

Who wants a plain white dial when you could have this kind of chromatic explosion on your wrist?

Well, to be fair, many of you may prefer a plain white dial. That's totally understandable. Fordite isn't for everyone. It's precisely for the one person who chooses to make each individual dial his or hers. This one is nicknamed Raspberry Splurge because it reminds us of a melting trifle on a summer's day, eaten by a crystal blue river.

(I feel like we're getting better at watch industry speak).

Scarface Todd looks like he has spent too long around the razor-blade-wielding demon barber of Fleet Street. A tight composition of vivid blue, scarlet red, and moody grey, grounded by the swirling white clouds towards the bottom of the dia,l the most memorable slash of colour occurs just below 12, reminding us this dial may well have been born in a factory, but not to tools.

Instead it was sired by the paws of all the way up in Gothenburg, before being assembled in our workshop in Copenhagen.

Bryce Canyon is a magical national park in Utah. The predominant colour is the red/orange rock, but look closely, and more hues reveal themselves to you.

loves a dramatic dial. With one as precise and characterful as this, however, the tension towards the end of the finishing process is high. The intersection of many different "drips" here is hard to maintain. Inevitably, when they meet, the strong separations disintegrate, not literally, but visually, before your eyes. The difference between success and failure is measured in microns.

In cases like this, they've never mattered more.

The Chronomara brings a little piece of Ireland to Copenhagen.

The dial uses a lume-backed Connemara marble composite, framed by a 9-karat gold-plated handset and chapter ring for a warmer, more traditional feel than you might expect from us.

Glow, baby, glow!

We've taken all our experience in coatings, composites, petrology, luminescence, and, of course, horology, to bring you a dial like no other. A series of time-consuming, finger-shredding, and bicep-burning processes have gone into creating the delicious glowing sandwich you see above.

It will feature in our newest Experimental model, the Arc II — Chronomara.

The star of the show? A composite element made from genuine Connemara marble, sourced from the west coast of Ireland, pulverised and reconstituted by , hand-finished by , and assembled by .

This watch was designed in honour of our good friend and all the excellent work he's done as THE ONE AND ONLY MASTER OF FESTIVALS (formerly held in Waterford, now to be held in Dublin), bringing the wonder of to the Irish people.

Sporting colours often associated with America's Sunshine State, the Tallahassee Terror is a bright, joyful dial that shows off colours you don't often see on the road, despite them representing cars painted during the latter half of the 20th century.

Orange? Teal? Candy apple red? This rare but mood-elevating colourway kept up at night as he wrestled with a particularly special corner of a block of Fordite that, from its external appearance, had given no clue of the magic it held within.

Preserving these colours was our goal. It required patient work on both sides of the dial to get it down to the appropriate thickness without going too far through the material and wiping out the Floridian flavour.
