Earth's Corporeality: Jewelry as a Medium of Organic Memory by Kristýna Španihelová at Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava.

Monday 22 June at 10:00, Kristýna Španihelová will give a lecture exploring contemporary author jewellery as a medium that goes beyond aesthetics, becoming a tool for expressing deeper meanings, emotions, and cultural narratives.
The lecture will be held in Czech.

Location: Room 135, Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava.

Signs & Pics. Enamel in the field of art with Fritz Maierhofer at WUK Cultural Center Vienna.

Discover the fundamentals of industrial enamelling with internationally renowned jewellery artist Fritz Maierhofer. Participants will learn how to apply coloured glass coatings to sheet iron and create their own enamelled pieces through cutting, shaping, firing and colour application.

- 120 € for 4 hours. If two 4-hour sessions are booked, the fee is 200 €.

EXHIBITIONS in Cagnes-sur-Mer / Until 20 SEP 2026
This summer, Solidor Art Space in Cagnes-sur-Mer presents three exhibitions highlighting a wide range of contemporary jewellery approaches through international contributions, retrospectives and experimental collaborations.

- Herman Hermsen Retrospective: celebrating over four decades of work by the Dutch artist, whose jewellery is held in major museum collections across Europe and North America.

- Sparkle: An exhibition organised through an open call for entries, aiming to showcase a wide variety of international creations.

- Drag & Drop #4, featuring Isabelle Busnel, Juan Riusech and Sébastien Carré. Through a process of replication and reinterpretation, each artist responds to a module created by one of the others, exploring authorship, collaboration and transformation.

Recent exhibitions, publications and research have brought renewed attention to Wendy Ramshaw's work and legacy.

Included in "The Disciplined Practice I Framework", this article examines how Ramshaw redefined jewellery through modular systems, geometric precision and a distinctive visual language that extended from the body to the architectural scale.

What truly matters to us, and what do we only claim matters?
"Priorities" invites jewellery artists to reflect on the values, choices and assumptions that shape contemporary life. Through the language of jewellery, the exhibition explores questions of identity, belonging, sustainability and what artists and wearers consider essential.
A total of 20 national and international jewellery artists will be selected for the exhibition.
