Open Call for Group Exhibition at Brispa Gallery
Deadline: 13/11/2026

Brispa Gallery in Madrid invites artists based in European Union countries to submit work for a group exhibition exploring the emotional and symbolic relationships we form with objects.

Taking jewellery as a starting point, the exhibition looks at desire, touch, memory and attachment, bringing together contemporary jewellery, wearable objects, textiles and small-scale sculptures.

Artists can submit up to five existing works. Participation is free, and shipping to and from the gallery will be covered for selected artists.

Preziosa Young 2026 at

The journey of 2026 ends in Asolo. From 7 to 29 November, the jewelry pieces by the contest winners, Lulu Tian, Jiangling Wang, Nga Ching Ko, and Lois Lo, will be on show together one last time!

Thereza Pedrosa, Elinor Garnero, and the Preziosa Young team will be waiting for you on Saturday, 7 November, from 5pm to 8 pm, together with Jiangling Wang, recipient of the LAO Special Prize 2026.

There’s no need for words to explain what you want; I can read it from your belt loop. Your keychain presses firmly against my right hip. I can feel its coldness through the fabric. It sends shivers all over my body.

In Maria Izabella Lehtsaar’s exhibition, carabiners become objects of desire. Metal clips familiar to builders, sailors and hikers began to be used as practical jewellery among working-class le****ns in the United States around 70 years ago.

I Don't Shine, I Have Something to Say 2026

The fourth edition of I Don't Shine, I have something to say opened on 9 October 2026 at the Fondazione Querini Stampalia in Venice, as part of

Twenty artists from fifteen countries present works that ask to be read as well as looked at: necklaces made from RCA cables, pins that reveal words when warmed by a fingertip, and pendants carved with Hebrew and Latin phrases.

At the heart of the exhibition lies a simple question: what makes someone stop in front of a jewel?

Curated by Eleonora Varotto in collaboration with Lisa Balasso, the exhibition runs until 25 October.

Article / Di-alogue: Technologies for thinking & making

Helen Dilkes and Rachael Colley… two, a pair, a duo–art jewellers on opposite sides of the planet (Australia, England), come together in Di-alogue…, juxtaposing and mirroring works, exploring how technologies shape thinking/making in their art jewellery.

The works themselves are in dialogue for the duration of the exhibition with Radiant Pavilion, Melbourne Contemporary Jewellery and Object Biennial. Through their collaboration, Helen and Rachael also met online and recorded their dialogue. Selected parts from these discussions around their art jewellery practices reflect on how they intersect and correlate. Their work has developed over these months of conversation, and here they map threads that elliptically orbit between them, across the planet.

OPEN CALL for Research Matters. A Summit for Artistic Research in Craft
Deadline: 30/11/2026

SCHMUCK München launches Research Matters #1, a summit exploring how craft practices and ways of making can generate knowledge, foster debate and open up new perspectives.

Researcher-artists working across craft disciplines are invited to submit proposals for projects rooted in material practice and engaging with cultural, social, environmental, economic, political, technological or educational contexts.

Four projects will be selected for presentation at the summit, taking place on 11 March 2027 at the Chamber of Crafts for Munich and Upper Bavaria, during IHM 2027.

The call is open to researchers who have obtained their PhD between 2022 and 2026, or who are completing their artistic research in 2027. Applications focused solely on historical, theoretical or curatorial research are not eligible.

Craft Now! at

Bringing together 25 artists from the Netherlands and abroad, the exhibition explores the significance of craft in contemporary visual art.

This edition is presented in collaboration with the AkzoNobel Art Foundation, which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026.

Through diverse materials and practices, Craft Now! explores how craft continues to shape contemporary artistic approaches.
