Rolex made its name on automatics. This one winds by hand, and that’s exactly the point.
Oyster Precision ref. 6426, Switzerland 1971. The manual calibre 1225 is thinner, tougher and quietly accurate, which is why the 34 mm Oyster case sits so flat on the wrist. Silver dial, tritium batons that have aged into warm cream, engine-turned bezel, and it comes home in its original green “coffin” box.
Fully serviced on my bench: new mainspring, all gaskets replaced, running perfectly. 12-month watchmaker’s warranty.
