Between my Completion Challenge, I have been focusing on some longer more complex projects;

Jadwiga Jagiełło, who in October 16, 1384, at the age of 10, became the female 'King 'of Poland. ... the ancestor of a friend.

This is my tallest figurine, with her high crown, inspired by several early paintings ...

I enjoyed working on the rich fabrics and costume detail ... trying different techniques .
I struggled to make a crown that fitted over her veil ... and not sure if I should fix it permanently .. she looks lovely in her fine gold veil too. I hope I have done her justice.

Completion a challenge 2026

I found a veneer strip, in blues violets and red glitter, probably intended for a bracelet but cut in pieces.

I used 3 pieces to create this pendant and earrings set, with a satin finish violet frill and curlies to incorporate a bail and add a little interest. I photographed the pendant first amongst my terrace box flowers to get a better colour match … shiny finishes and glitter are so difficult.

I’m still playing with three remaining strips to form a layered pendant with matching glass bead tassel … ??? 47P

This is not just a finishing challenge to use up all this stray bits’ but an opportunity to try different ideas and techniques without fear of waste..

Many of these pieces, along with some earlier simple creations, will be available for recommended charities … or at reduced prices if they don’t meet my present standards or skills. Please ask.

making 59 completed pieces.

I found a second roughly round cabachon in a wash of abstract colours, … like a summer garden in greens and dull gold … perfect for a second posy necklace similar to an earlier lime and violet pendant, which was very popular (23P)... posted earlier, now adopted.

I made some leaves and simple´lily’ flowers picking out the brighter colours, a matching green backing and hand made old gold and green round beads and added small gold separator beads. This time supported on a gold colour chain with toggle closure.

Completion Challenge 2026

Unintentionally I have completed a second red and silver bird pendant from an unfinished piece.

A red embossed oval on silver spotted backing with crackled tube surround … applied bird and stainless steel wrapped bail.
Worn with a flourish of red sari silk
… or simple silver leather cord or black velvet??
