2026 Completion Challenge
Another long oval cabochon with vague uninteresting random pattern in dull turquoise, so I covered it with fine copper textured veneer with holes, and an applied delicate floral pattern. I had a frayed silky ribbon to match, so made some round and long beads to colour match, and completed it with a sliding tube closure. No metal parts if you are allergic.
Hand made and unique in polymer clay.

2026 Completion Challenge

My work desk is a chaos of half made creations, matching beads and more pieces to finish … but I have now achieved 56 creations … well over half my target of 100 for the year.

So jumping on a bit, here is yet another random oval cabochon in two part polished red and black pattern, which I have tried to transform into something more interesting.

With a decorative graphite divide and border, it now has a very Victorian feel .. shown on black leather cord .. it might look good on a black/red velvet or silk band too.

This challenge is a great opportunity to try out new ideas and techniques without fear of spoiling a piece…
It’s also an excuse to play when I should be doing more important jobs .. and between a few planned projects … 😊

2026 Completion challenge ...
I have a selection of mirror image ovals created from remains and am always searching for interesting new ways to use them .
Here are 2 white and gold pieces with rolled gold surrounds.
one, in bright gold finish, with rolled bail and added flower, the second with old gold rolls extending the shape and pattern detail.

Both unique and hand made in polymer clay. Shown with leatheer cord or frayed ribbon support.

Completion challenge 2026

I found these 4 circles and 2 half circles with painted daisies on blue … probably testing the stencil, and simple matching beads, just right for this light summery bracelet and earrings set. Easy silver coloured strong magnetic closure.

All hand made and one of a kind in polymer clay. Medium hand size …

Available for reputable charities … along with many of the creations in this completion challenge … and some of my earlier pieces. Please ask.

Completion Challenge 2026

I had this large oblong cabochon in pale blue with embossed pearlised dots and cut out circles … and lots of sari silks and ribbons in my collection.

I filled some of the circles with colour … turquoise, blue and orange, selected a bold, frayed edge, bright turquoise sari silk strip and made simple beads to match in polymer clay with large holes.

Putting it all together took more time, arranging and rearranging beads and threading on the ribbon and I realised I needed something to hold the twisted ribbon in position, so patiently crocheted a fine chain cord in silver to wrap around it. This was threaded through a long adjustable slider bead with matching turquoise end pieces added.

A colourful summer necklace for holidays and sunny days to come, with no metal pieces for those who are allergic.
