Born in Finland, brought up between Finland and England, and now living in the French Alps, the jewellery I make is heavily influenced by my Nordic heritage and the forms and patterns seen in nature.

​I use simple shapes, reflected light and movement in my designs to create individual, wearable jewellery.

​As everything is made by hand in my studio, each piece is a unique item.

About muoto jewellery...

Several years ago I was struggling to find the sort of jewellery that I wanted to wear. I knew what I wanted, but no-one seemed to make it. I decided that the only thing to do was to start making it myself.

What started as a desire to make myself the jewellery that I wanted to wear has grown into a passion for creating organic, simple designs that reflect the shapes and forms found in nature. I love movement in my jewellery pieces and many of the items I make move as you wear them, creating a changing & evolving interplay of shapes & light.

Having lived my life between my two home countries of Finland and the UK, I am deeply influenced by the very simple style inherent in the nordic design aesthetic.

I make everything by hand in my small studio. As each piece is individually crafted, no two items are identical, even if the design is similar to previous pieces - so all Muoto pieces are unique.
