Hi!

I’ve already shared some photos of the earlier steps of the making of these beauties.
Here is one of the last step: the ceramic. It’s a tricky time, since the pavé is already made and you do not want to damage it.
You’ll see that the ceramic is placed higher on the surface than the pavé, which made for a very tricky setting: the grains were often barely reachable…this is when you need the best setter…who thankfully likes challenges!
The choice of making this step between the pavé and the ceramic gives volume to the roses, and adds to the poetry of the ensemble…
It made for a much more complex object to create, but I am very happy with the result! And loved making it… with my own two hands as usual!

Roses. One of a kind pair of earrings

Who doesn’t love a bunch of beautiful and delicate roses? 🌹 These shimmer between diamonds, Burmese rubies, pink sapphires and purple garnets, set with gold, silver and ceramic.

Roses were a favorite theme in Art Deco, which has left a strong heritage of blooms in textile, furnitures etc.
Here I give you a poetical vision of roses, infused in Japanese art heritage as well as European art deco legacy.

Éternité d’or earrings

Part of the collection, these earrings are a beautiful play on light and movement. The sculptural, eternal movement of the moebius band is emphasized by the finish of gold polished to perfection, reflecting the world around you, framing your face with flashes of light.

This sculpture, entirely handmade, is perfect in its imperfection, because a symmetry made by the eye and not through a machine has so much more to give to the eye!

Newest piece in my garden collection. A pair of vibrant leaves earrings … a sculptural and ethereal piece that takes you to foreign and dreamt lands of beauty.
Made in and 18k gold, set with sapphires and tsavorite garnets, they are very light!

They’ll be exhibited with the rest of the Enchanted garden collection, next week in Palm Beach, April 28-30

And here are the following steps in the making of the Eternity Sunset Earrings: after the was was cast in gold, I had to readjust each stone, and lower it in the metal, controlling the « no gap » or « no metal left » everywhere 2 stones would come to touch. Than I created the lines of diamonds, you can see the piece ready for setting.
Then the setting took place, by a master setter, and you see the result before black chromium!

Today is ! and nothing else!
I take the opportunity to celebrate old mine diamonds, which I love for their shine, different sparkle, beautiful random shapes, and unicity! I used them on both these rings, two different occurrences of a moebius band, an eternal twist, a sculpture of pure movement.
It was meaningful for me to give another life to these beautiful diamonds, set on designs and sculptures, to embody the notion of circle of life and transcendance.

This pair of earrings has been a feat of strength to make, it is exceptional, and I will show you the steps of its making for you to see in Image what the creation and making of such a piece entails.

Here are the first steps of the making of the Sunset earrings: it starts with the sculpture in wax of the two moebius rings.
Then comes the time to choose, select and place the stones, here sapphires, on the rings. First just to get an impression of the rendering, and then finding the final spot for them on the wax, and installing them to be by one precisely. You can see it as a very small and very difficult puzzle, where you have to keep the same infinite amount of wax between each stones.

Two magnificent gemstones, perfectly complementary in their colour, power and depth. It’s always a deep pleasure to work with gemstones that have a story and are given a new chapter in their life…I love this kind of quiet perfection.

It has been a long process, identifying the stones in a private collection, having them certified, recut and polished. Then creating the ring…it has been a very fulfilling journey, and living it alongside a patient and attentive client is the best.
