The progression of the 29.5-day lunar cycle appears at the bottom right of the dial and advances by one day every midday. To set it, the moon phase number can be adjusted by hand directly on the ratchet.

To create the Moon Phase of Persée, a major technical hurdles had to be overcome: finding a technical and aesthetic solution that would allow the Moon Phase to be incorporated into each Persée irrespective of whether enthusiasts had assembled their timepiece vertically or horizontally.

This required our team to spend months making additional adjustments that would not be necessary for a timepiece designed to remain in a single position, all without compromising the magic of the assembly experience. 🙌

The main technical challenge to be overcome was ensuring the Moon Phase could be added to the Persée without a long, fastidious process of disassembly.

This required designing a complication that enthusiasts could add to their Persée without having to dismantle too much of it.

To achieve this, Maison Alcée developed a design that only required the eight-day bush and the minute wheel and pinion to be replaced. ⚙️

The ratchet is lacquered and engraved with a gilded constellation of Persée (father of Alcée in Greek mythology) set against a starry sky, while the surrounding track is finished with delicately lacquered Moon Phase numerals. 🔭
