KeiP Polymer Clay Jewellery Art

Hi, I’m Keilan, creator/artist at KeiP. I’m originally from Newfoundland, Canada but now live in the south of France. Polymer clay has become my passion and I’d like to share my wearable art with you. All of my one of a kind pieces are individually designed. Clay colours are mixed by hand and mostly include alcohol inks, mica powder, pastels and of course metal leaf, for a little extra pizzaz. All pieces are finished with my unique wire work. Please check out my YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/ for tutorials.

The Bold Side of Cernit Opaline - 'True Colours' Polymer Clay Tutorial - One Cane Two Different Looks!

‘True Colours’ ✨ A follow-up from my recent Beached Porcelain tutorial using coloured Cernit Opaline clays.

In the last tutorial, the Opaline colours were soft, delicate, and porcelain-like. This time, I wanted to showcase a completely different side of the same clay. By embracing its semi-translucent nature and layering the colours more boldly, their true colours begin to shine through.

The same cane created two very different pendant designs—one showcasing the layered pattern in sweeping horizontal bands, the other revealing the colours in bold diagonal stripes.

It’s always fascinating to see how simply changing the cut can transform the entire feel of a piece. Proof that sometimes the magic happens in the slice.

I hope you enjoy!

Hey guys! Just a quick update — the May members-only tutorial is a little delayed. I’ve been dealing with a pretty bad psoriasis/eczema flare-up on my hands, so I haven’t been able to work with clay for the past week or so.

Rather than leave you with nothing in the meantime, I thought I’d still share something useful and show you how I sharpen my tissue blades.

Hopefully my hands will be healed enough in the next couple of days so I can get back to polymer clay and start filming the tutorial.

Thank you so much for your patience and support — I’ll see you guys very soon.

‘Eclipse’ — Where light meets shadow.

Inspired by solar and lunar eclipses, this collection plays with a fading mica shift, blending Cernit metallics into opaque clay.

Originally, I planned to keep the metal foil visible only in the black to extend the mica shift pattern—but the foil had other ideas. I leaned into it, especially in the lunar side, where it adds a subtle, glowing depth I couldn’t resist.

‘By the Sea’ — Abstract Abalone
Not quite what I planned—but still a shell at heart. It started as an abalone idea, but shifted along the way—taking on a life of its own while still holding onto that subtle shell-like vibe 🐚 Sometimes the tide leads you somewhere better.

✨✨Computer Death Update✨✨

The empty space on my desk has been filled—I finally have a new computer, and it’s almost all set up. Thankfully, I didn’t permanently delete the footage I’d already filmed; iCloud had it safely in the bin/trash, so I was able to restore it. Unfortunately, all the projects I had stored and edited in iMovie are gone.

After some more setup and tweaking, I’ll be back to filming and editing, and I’m excited to bring you December’s Members Only content soon. Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding.

✨ ‘Bloom Burst’ & ‘Shifted’ ✨
The Shifted pendant was first created in my tutorial of the same name, and I finally had the chance to turn it into a finished necklace. Bloom Burst came to life using the extra mokume stack from that very tutorial.
Looking for something special to treat yourself or a loved one? Both designs are now available in my shop: keipfr.myshopify.com
