**A little update from me…**
You may have noticed that I've been a little quieter on Facebook lately, so I thought I'd explain what's been happening behind the scenes.
A few weeks ago, Facebook invited me to monetise my content. I thought, why not? Unfortunately, within days of accepting, things started to go a little sideways. My Reels were being flagged, my reach dropped considerably, and eventually my account was restricted from being recommended to others.
And the reason for the restriction? Apparently, **Facebook's technology thinks it has detected that I've been impersonating myself on other platforms!** Yes, you read that correctly. I'm supposedly impersonating myself!
I've been sharing my own original artwork and videos across different social media platforms for years, so I'm still trying to understand how that conclusion was reached.
After two weeks, I decided monetisation simply wasn't for me. All that fuss for a grand total of **US$2.90!**
I never joined Facebook to make money. I simply enjoy sharing my passion for polymer clay, my artwork, and my tutorials with people who appreciate what I create.
I've now been waiting almost two weeks for Facebook to review the restriction on my account, and I'm hoping it will be resolved soon. In the meantime, I've taken a little step back from posting while things get sorted out.
I'm still busy working on my tutorials, experimenting with new ideas, and even have a little something secret in the works that I'm looking forward to sharing with you!
