My hair extension journey
I got my weave fitting January 28th 2023, one whole year ago! I’m going to give you all of my tips & tricks to keeping it in good condition and tell you the things that haven’t helped me. I used 24” in the shade umber and I was obsessed with it the second it was fitted!
I wanted to add EVERYTHING into this post but Instagram won’t let me🥲so I’ll give you my little tricks today and make more posts for every individual section to make sure you get ALL the information you need! Turn on post notifications so you don’t miss anything
I stopped using normal bobbles altogether, I only use the plastic spiral bobbles or silk scrunchies, both of these don’t pull your hair or or snap it when trying to get them out. Normal bobbles can snap your hair and cause breakage to your hair and your extensions.
I stopped putting my hair in messy buns again this can snap your hair and your extensions, it can cause matting leading to loosing hair and it’s just uncomfortable in my opinion. You can still wear your hair in a bun if you like that style there are different ways of doing it.
If I went on the sunbed I would cover my hair with anything I could use🤣my top, shower cap, my bonnet just to protect it from the heat.
I would brush my hair constantly! In the morning and at night I would separate each row and make sure there was no but notting or matting in between the rows as it’s hard to tell when you have a few rows in.
