The little village of Alnmouth during golden hour 🧡

The name Alnmouth comes from the Old English mūþa (mouth of river), once an important part of trade and a busy port the village saw a decline in the 19th century.

Now Alnmouth is rated as among the “20 most beautiful villages in the UK and Ireland” and lies within the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

If you’ve driven the coastal route past Alnmouth or taken the train south from Alnmouth station you’ll have admired the pastel row of houses at Lovaine Terrace on your way. Little gems on the scenery I always notice them as I pass.

What a view they must have from their windows too, prime sunset viewing and seeing the estuary tides ebb and flow with the boats dotted around. Which colour house would you go for if you lived here?
