Amanda approached me to have her original engagement and weddings transformed into a gift for her daughter Molly ahead of her wedding day.

We took the diamonds from both rings and created this halo design bracelet.

Now these stones have a new lease of life to be enjoyed throughout Molly’s marriage!

Sophie and Scott are tying the knot RIGHT NOW in the US! I’m so excited for this lovely couple.

Sophie’s rings are 18ct white gold, notched for the setting of her engagement ring to slot neatly against it. A mix of diamonds and star engraving, it’s a gorgeous unique wedding ring.

After making these rings, we later joined Sophie’s wedding ring to her engagement ring so they wouldn’t spin apart. If your knuckles are larger than the bottom of your finger, fitted rings won’t always stay together when worn. Soldering together is a great way around this.

Scott’s wedding band is a simple oval court platinum band with gorgeous hand engraving inside with stars to represent their family dotted between the wedding date.

I can’t wait to see some photos from their American celebrations.

Susanna and Tony wanted bespoke wedding rings that celebrated their much loved trips on the Norfolk Broads. They shared photos from their trips with me to take inspiration from and I devised an engraving design to capture some of those details. On Tony’s wider band, we managed to include reeds on both sides of the river, water and a boat. On Susanna’s slimmer band, we fit water and reeds.

Inside their rings we included some paw prints to honour their beloved pets.

It’s incredible what a talented hand engraver can fit with so much intricate detail on such small surfaces.

These rings truly are totally unique to this lovely couple and a forever reminder of their favourite trips together.

I’m so happy for my lovely couple Sam and Paul who tie the knot today, exchanging the rings we designed together.

Sam has a pretty cluster engagement ring that needed a fitted wedding ring. What better than the traditional orange blossom pattern to tie the rings together and give some beautiful texture.

Paul opted for the warm tones of natural white gold for his gently hammered and brushed band.

💚 H E L L O • M A Y 💚

There’s nothing quite like the glow of an emerald - May’s birthstone. The intense, magical hues have been coveted by humankind since records began. One of the four most prized gemstones (emerald, sapphire, ruby and diamond), it’s no wonder this stone is so widely adored.

So today I am throwing it back to some of my favourite emerald projects.

💚 E M E R A L D • F A C T S 💚

✨Cleopatra was fanatical about the emerald, using them in her royal adornments. In Ancient Egypt, the emerald was believed to represent fertility and rebirth, the dead were often buried with emeralds as a symbol of eternal youth.

🍀 Associated with the emerald isle, the lush green is so reminiscent of the rolling green landscape of Ireland.

🌿 It is normal for emeralds to have mossy appearance. The natural fissures and inclusions inside an emerald are part of its beauty - they are named its “jardin” due to its organic, plant like look. Every emerald is unique and these “jardins” will vary from stone to stone.

💚 Take care of your emeralds - they cannot be cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner and are brittle in nature, so take off your emerald jewellery when doing anything hands on.

Claire and David visited my studio to get some ideas of what to do with her trilogy engagement ring that was missing a stone and wanted to add in diamonds from her mother’s engagement ring into the mix as well.

The obvious choice would be to find a suitable replacement for the missing diamond and set her mother’s diamonds along the shoulders but I suggested we kept it at her original diamonds in a new Toi et Moi twist/bypass style with a vintage feel. I drew up my vision and she loved it!

I am obsessed with how this pair of rings turned out - without adding any new diamonds, it felt like a major upgrade and change up, and looked incredible on her hand.

Celestial inspiration for these ladies 🤩

Mia wanted a delicate and super feminine wedding ring and fell in love with one of my samples at a .weddings show. We made her a bespoke version in 10ct white gold to match her engagement ring with no rhodium plating.

Aaliyah wanted something more simple. She chose a 4mm wide flat court band in unplated 9ct white gold with a hand engraved pattern of stars.

The shoulders of Mia’s rings are engraved with stars to match.

Huge congratulations to Anna and Jack who are now have their forever engagement ring after designing it together.

Jack proposed with an adjustable sized placeholder ring that worked well as a temporary solution for Anna’s finger. She lost the end of her finger as a child and the shape is slightly flared at the top, meaning rings usually don’t work for her. She saw my article on the hinged ring I made for a client a few years ago and it was the answer to their prayers!

This London based couple came for a design consultation at my studio to design her dream ring - a trilogy ring with a round diamond flanked by lead shaped green sapphires.

I adore these stones set in the natural creamy tone of white gold and the chevron shape of the diamond gallery bar. We deliberately designed the ring to be wedding ring friendly so she can have a simple straight hinged wedding band in the future.

You would never know the sides of the ring conceal a hinge, making it possible for Anna to open and close the band to get it on and off.

It is such a joy to be able to problem solve for clients and Anna and Jack so they can have a truly beautiful and special ring to celebrate their engagement. Because why shouldn’t they, just like everyone else!
