L E G A C Y

It was a real honour to be asked to create a second chain for Ampthill Town Council.

I made the new Mayor’s Consort chain back in 2021 and I am so pleased to share the new Deputy Mayor chain, which had its first outing at the Town Council Meeting on the 27th May where the new Mayor, Cllr Gary Summerfield, and Deputy Mayor, Cllr Julia Jones, were elected.

Wishing them a productive and successful year in service, and I look forward to seeing the chains in action!

I had the pleasure of handing over Nina and Daniel’s wedding rings at the weekend.

We took some very sentimental jewellery and melted it down to create Daniel’s bevel edged band and also line the inside of Nina’s white gold band.

Nina wanted to match the white gold colour of her delicate diamond and ruby engagement ring but also wanted to incorporate some of the gold and also a diamond from the sentimental jewellery. She opted for a wishbone design that we hand engraved stars along the front and star set the diamond at the point.

Daniel’s band is made entirely with the sentimental gold and is hand engraved with a continuous line with a wishbone point to coordinate with Nina’s ring.

I’m so happy for this lovely couple who get married later this year! Their forever rings are now ticked off and ready to go.

A L E X A N D R I T E

The final choice for June’s birthstone is Alexandrite - probably the least well known of the three outside of the jewellery world.

Alexandrite is a colour change-variety chrysoberyl and is considered one of the rarest gemstones in the world.

It is often referred to as “emerald by day, ruby by night”, alexandrites often display as green in daylight and pink/purple in incandescent light. The more apparent the colour change, the more valuable the Alexandrite.

Smaller and less valuable stones do not display the colour changing phenomena and stay their beautiful earthy green.

There are several JG engagement rings out there that I haven’t been able to share yet while my clients finds the perfect moment to propose. Here’s one of them that has now come out of its box!

Rob may have sat on this ring for about six months, but his proposal was worth the wait!

“I know it’s been a WHILE, but i finally popped the question to Meg & she said yes!

We went stargazing by the sea, Jupiter and Venus were visible and we viewed them through our telescope, finally wrapped up the trip with the proposal. She was very surprised and said yes.

Meg absolutely loves the ring, the style and colours and symbology are all things she loves!

Best of all, the ring seems to fit perfectly, what a relief !

Rob poured his heart and soul into making sure the design was absolutely perfect for his nature loving partner Meg. The moss agate was an absolute non-negotiable, as were the addition of their birthstones, so we wove these into a totally unique design that almost looks like a twig wrapped around her finger.

Huge congratulations to the happy couple!

It was a pleasure to work with Yuliia and her groom Agop on these wedding rings - all designed remotely as they live in Bulgaria.

They wanted a metal colour that would complement both white and rose gold to suit their individual tastes while keeping the rings themselves matching.

Agop’s rings ring is a wider version of Yuliia’s - a flat court profile with polished edges and a burr finish in the centre.

Inside each ring we hand engraved in a rune-like style a little message.

Huge congratulations to Yuliia and Agop!
