What a transformation we created with these customer supplied square cut UV reactive green synthetic gemstones!

Originally set in a classic 4 claw basket style setting, we removed the stones and based on our customers inspiration, handmade full bezel settings to bring the design up to date while adding greater stone security, then soldered the settings together and integrated them with a substantial D-shape ring shank, giving it an art deco feel.

We love it 😍, especially when it glows under UV light!

September has definitely been a month for Memorial Jewellery at Marc Johnson - Jeweller

A subtle and understated simplicity of a 5mm wide band with the aim of a mid colour green resin, which to our surprise lightened up a tone once the ashes were blended, which the customer felt this a poignant touch, with the ashes contributing to the final colour.

This order was also personal to me, losing a close friend over the summer, I hope we have done him proud 🙏

An amazing review from our latest customer 😊

" I honestly couldn’t recommend Marc highly enough. I asked him to create something incredibly special for me using my mum’s wedding ring and her ashes, so that I could have her with me on my wedding day. Somehow, this one ring has become my something old, something new, something borrowed from Mum and, of course, something blue. 🩵

From the very beginning Marc completely understood how important and sentimental this was to me. He took such care with my mum’s ring and created something absolutely beautiful and completely unique, keeping me informed every step of the way.

When I saw the finished ring I was completely overwhelmed. It is more beautiful than I could have imagined and means more to me than I can put into words. Knowing that I’ll be wearing Mum’s wedding ring, with her ashes, when I get married makes it incredibly special.

Marc was wonderful throughout the whole process and I trusted him completely with something that is genuinely irreplaceable to me. Thank you so much, Marc, for creating a piece of jewellery that I will treasure for the rest of my life. 🩵

The rings were adjusted down in size, with the gents band slightly narrowed to regain a thicker, rounded edge, and both rings are now highly polished and cleaned... All in good time for the summer wedding ceremony 🎉🎉💍
