The FIA World Rally Championship has confirmed a landmark 15-round calendar for 2027, headlined by the return of the United States and United Kingdom alongside the introduction of Rally d’Italia.

Elyfn Evans and Scott Martin’s monumental triumph as 2026 WRC Champions, marks the first time a British crew has captured the WRC crown since the legendary Richard Burns and Robert Reid took the world title in 2001.

The 2001 World Rally Championship (WRC) title showdown remains one of the most iconic, high-stakes finales in motorsport history. Dubbed the “Battle of Britain,” it pitted two bitter British rivals—England’s Richard Burns (Subaru) and Scotland’s Colin McRae (Ford)—against each other on home soil at the final round, the Network Q Rally of Great Britain

The victory made Burns the first-ever English WRC Drivers’ Champion, while Reid secured his status as one of the sport’s finest co-drivers.

We celebrated with Reid, creating his 2001 Limited Edition WRC Championship watch (second image) and have done with every champion codriver since.

Here’s how the championship stands heading into the unforgiving gravel of Sardinia:

What an absolute masterclass from Oliver Solberg and Elliott Edmondson as they power their way to a spectacular victory at Rally Chile Biobío 2026!

From handling Friday’s incredibly slippery roads to holding off a fierce charging pack on Saturday, the duo was completely unstoppable. To top it all off, they sealed the weekend in style by blasting through the Power Stage to take the maximum 34 points—bringing them just 21 points away from the top of the Drivers’ Championship standings!

The championship is all to play for with Rally Sardegna coming up next week.

Rally Chile BIOBÍO 2026 begins this week, and it’s all to play for. Elfyn Evans and Scott Martin currently lead the championship by 20 points, but Sami Pajari and Marko Salminen are chasing a fourth consecutive victory.

They have made WRC history as their first 3 maiden victories came consecutively.

With 105 points up for grabs over the rest of this season anything could happen. Elfyn Evans has never finished outside the top five on Rally Chile’s four previous WRC editions.

WRC Rally del Paraguay 2026 absolutely delivered. From the narrow bridges to the high-speed straights cutting through the beautiful landscapes of Itapúa, Round 11 of the World Rally Championship was one for the history books!
