A hard-fought 5th place finish was the final result for Adrien Fourmaux and Alexandre Coria at the demanding FORUM8 Rally Japan 2026. Navigating the final asphalt round of the WRC season, the French duo pushed their Hyundai i20 N Rally1 through punishing, narrow, and often muddy stages. Despite battling changing weather and a dominant local showing from rival teams, their relentless consistency earned valuable points for Hyundai Motorsport.

Maximum Super Sunday points and a Powerstage win were the massive takeaways for Oliver Solberg and Elliott Edmondson at the FORUM8 Rally Japan 2026. The duo demonstrated incredible, top-tier pace on Japan’s punishingly narrow asphalt roads. Despite a heartbreak on Saturday afternoon when they clipped a pole on SS10 and damaged their rear-right suspension while battling for the lead, they bounced back brilliantly on Sunday. Solberg remains third in the championship standings heading into EKO Acropolis Rally Greece (25 - 28 June)

Ogier said. “Didn’t manage it this weekend. Not a bad rally either. The gap to Elfyn was made in one stage with the road position. The rest was, even with the struggle, not far away.”

Elfyn Evans and Scott Martin claimed their third FORUM8 Rally Japan victory last Sunday and strengthened their FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) lead, beating defending event winner Sébastien Ogier by 12.8sec after 20 demanding asphalt stages in Aichi and Gifu.

FORUM8 Rally Japan 2026 has begun - Séb Ogier and Vincent Landais have the set the pace this morning in the shakedown exactly 1.0 second faster than teammate and championship leaders Elfyn Evans and Scott Martin.

Nine-times world champion Ogier and his codriver Vincent Landais are defending champions for the WRC title this year. Running part time this year Ogier has said “ the only thing that matters is I get the same result as last year, and I’m here for that.”

The Swede led after Thursday, briefly reclaimed the lead on Saturday morning and then lost ground with tyre trouble and a spin. Thierry Neuville co-driver Martijn Wydaeghe claimed Hyundai’s first win of the year on Sunday, ending Toyota Gazoo Racing’s unbeaten run after a dramatic final morning in northern Portugal. Portugal marked Neuville’s 23rd WRC victory and his second on the Matosinhos-based event, eight years after his 2018 success.
