**** How incredibly disappointing to see negative comments on this post. They’ve been deleted and so will any other. We have been working so hard as a collective (yes including SAC) to improve our street over the last couple of years and our hard work is now paying off. Every business on this street has invested not only on the street but to Ayr’s wider economy, creating jobs and supporting countless other businesses. That should be celebrated. We’re here. We’re trying. Maybe it’s time we were all a bit more positive about our town and worked together to breathe fresh life into it 🩵

For 33 years, I have dedicated my life to designing, making and restoring jewellery—preserving precious memories, transforming inherited pieces and creating new heirlooms that carry each client’s story forward.

To be recognised for both our bespoke craftsmanship and our remodelling and repair expertise feels incredibly special.

This recognition belongs to our entire Jewel Room team and to every client who has trusted us with their jewellery, stories and most meaningful possessions. Thank you for believing in what we create.

As we prepare for the next chapter at 33 Sandgate, our vision continues to grow: to protect traditional craftsmanship, create opportunities for the next generation and change how people experience jewellery.

OH MY GOODNESS… I AM NOW IN THE BWS TOP 100! 🏆✨
I am incredibly proud and deeply honoured to have been named one of Business Women Scotland’s Top 100 Women in Business for 2026.
To be recognised for my work, achievements and contribution to business—alongside such an inspiring group of women from across Scotland—means more than I can adequately express.
From beginning The Jewel Room in 1998 with the support of The ’sScottishYouthBusinessTrust, to becoming a master goldsmith, diamond setter, designer and businesswoman, this journey has required determination, resilience and an unwavering belief in what could be created.
Today, our vision reaches far beyond jewellery. We are building a hospitality-led Scottish jewellery house, protecting traditional craftsmanship and creating meaningful opportunities for the next generation through education, training and mentorship.
Every challenge, every long day and every moment has led here.
I am enormously grateful to everyone who has believed in me, supported the journey and helped & become what they all are today. This recognition belongs, in part, to all of you.
The independent judging panel will now select the final Top 10, with the Overall Winner announced at the Awards Lunch at on 28th October.
For now, I’m simply going to let this extraordinary moment land.
