The theme of this year's Basingstoke Festival opening parade is here:

Get ready for an evening of magic, music and myths at the opening parade as over 20 community groups, local schools, and 500+ marchers launch the 15th year of Basingstoke Festival.
Joining the anarchic extravaganza will be Mr Wilson’s Second Liners, alongside them will be the thunderous rhythms of the BSB Cavaliers and the Royal British Legion Band. You are all encouraged be a part of this joyful street party as it parades through the Top of the Town in Basingstoke town centre.
The excitement carries on as Mr Wilson’s Second Liners continues the party vibe performing 90s club classics at the end of the parade. Titfor Tat Circus will then bring the mischief and mayhem with their new show, ‘A Disorder of Knights’, ending the evening with a bang and kickstarting three weekends of fantastic festival fun!
Whether you are a local resident or visitor, this is a celebration for everyone.
