The Hampshire School of Jewellery offers classes in Basingstoke, Hampshire. All classes are taught by our qualified tutor Laura who has over 10 years experience in teaching jewellery making. Classes on offer include silver jewellery making and silver clay as well as beading and stringing pearls. Classes are available for complete beginners and those with experience. Private lessons are also available, please contact us to discuss any subjects you would like to cover. Laura has extensive experience within the jewellery industry and is a qualified assistant lecturer as well as a Level One certified Art Clay instructor. Julie has been raiding charity shops and has found a treasure trove of amazing beads among strands of broken necklaces.

She added these gorgeous drops to her reticulated textured silver and even made her own ear wires.

Nicola from my Tuesday morning class has finished this stunning gemstone necklace 💙

A real showstopper this is a piece that evolved over time to include a handmade link chain.

The necklace is heading off to next to be hallmarked.

These are the fabulous results from Saturday’s Interlocking ring or pendant class. On this occasion everyone went for the ring option!

It was a great session with a mix of complete beginners, some returning learners and a couple of regular faces.

I am planning on adding this to the dates for next years classes which will be launching soon. Drop me a message if you would like me to let you know when they are live.

✨ A new jewellery making story is on the blog ✨

As part of my 10-year anniversary celebrations, I've been asking some of my regular students to share a little about their jewellery making journeys with me.

Next up is the lovely Lene, who joined my Tuesday morning group back in 2019 and has stuck by me through thick and thin! 💛

Lene is also a big supporter of our school trips to exhibitions in London and often takes inspiration from the things we've seen to use in her own jewellery designs.

Yesterday it was time for our annual school trip to Goldsmiths' Fair and as emergency aunty duties were needed for school inset day my niece came with us!

Thank you so much to the exhibitors who took the time to talk to her, letting her hold things and try pieces on absolutely made her day! She wants to come to both weeks of the event next year - we might have a future jeweller on our hands!

A huge thank you as well to the team at Basingstoke Station for upgrading us to first class travel; you made our day out together even more special 🤩

✨Saturday 10th 10am - 1pm - Interlocking ring / pendant
✨Saturday 31st 9.30am - 1pm - Make a Silver Spinning Ring
