Esik Creations

Esik Creations Be You : Buy Unique! ESIK Creations came about at a time when I was searching for definition & purpose. George's Market, Belfast.

I was coming to realise that my health struggles would be chronic & sought distraction in new challenges & ways to express myself creatively. I found affirmation in learning new skills & mastering various crafts. After years of trial & error I began trading regularly at St. Almost a decade later I'm still there, every Sunday, 10am - 4 pm. I mainly trade now in Jewellery, some handmade, some wholes

ale but all unique or unusual. My range tends to reflect my imagination inspired by literature & ancient lore, journeying from Norse gods to Shakespeare, or the spirals, intricacies & knots of Celtic creation. I'm also a stockist of Alchemy England ~ Handmade pewter products of beautiful quality, capturing curiosities of myth & the netherworld. Products are available in our online store or to purchase in person. (Webiste: https://esik-creations.square.site)

2020 & its anxieties & isolation promoted me to explore another great love which I have flirted with over the years but never really developed. As a result, I now have a slowly growing portfolio of original artwork mainly being sold on the Print on Demand site, Redbubble until I find my feet and artist's voice! You can visit my shop here: https://www.redbubble.com/people/ESIKCreates/shop?asc=u

St George's Market itself is worth a visit, minutes from Belfast city centre it's home to a wide variety of gifts, hand-made, local crafts, antiques & food. The atmosphere is vibrant with live musicians, culture & global visitors. If you'd like to make a small donation to support small, local business and to help me continue to craft and create, you can Buy me a Coffee here: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/ESIKCreates

Taking a closer look at Alchemy England's Marie Antoinette guillotine earrings, they're simply to die for or perhaps, start a revolution for!

The popular pendant in the same design should be back in stock when this goes live as well so just check out my website for the matching set!

Alchemy's blurb cos they do descriptions so well - "Flaunting the regal finesse of a doomed age, miniature guillotine blades, bear the last traces of aristocratic life; with Austrian crystal blood drops.

A macabre piece that drips with gothic elegance
Surgical steel ear-posts measuring:
H: 46mm (1.81") W: 14mm (0.55") D: 15mm (0.59")"

I know times are tough right now so I’m really not expecting anything but you’ve probably noticed I’ve been toiling away at the content creation lately, just to see if it makes a difference really (so far it hasn’t!), an experiment of sorts, but it does take SO much time (especially with my diabolically slow internet speed 🤯).

It’s hard to manage my energy & time with my health & I get why a lot of artists just give up, the internet is such a big place now & it’s so saturated, billions of voices screaming to be heard. Oh this is nose diving into an existential crisis so I’ll wrap up! I’ve revamped my “buy me a coffee page” - https://buymeacoffee.com/esikcreates

Not expecting millions of supporters but I would appreciate it if you keep it in mind for the future & if right now you could just keep engaging that old Facebook algorithm with your likes, comments, saves, shares, follows etc. See if we can’t give this failing experiment an adrenaline shot in the right direction. Thanks so much 😊

And here’s how I made it! 🤣

How to make a wire work sun necklace tutorial (about 6mins long) showing how to craft the golden rays in a tight weave & secure our central bead forming the rounded belly of the sun 🌞

Materials: 0.315mm, 0.6mm & 0.8mm copper-core gilt coated wire, lots of pliers, cutters & patience and an 8mm bead!

Perfect for a summer craft or gift. Do DM me if you’re interested & you can see the finished piece at the end! I’ll be bringing them along for sale to St George’s Market, Belfast with me when I’m back at work!

I’ve relaunched my buy me a coffee page under “ESIK Creates” if anyone would like to show their support. Many thanks, enjoy! 😎

Having fun making these gorgeous little sun pendants all week with my new wire delivery! 🌞

Which colour would you choose? 🎨 Requests welcome! 😊

Delicate little wire-work sun 🌞 rays radiate out from a central gemstone or glass bead. Handcrafted from copper-core gilt coated wire.

I haven’t got these up on my website yet so message for details 💬

Ps Turorail incoming…!

Pps yes, I do sometimes schedule my content, as some of you know I won’t be very well when this goes live so I might not be able to get back to messages & comments as please but please do keep watching & sharing. It means a lot. Thanks 😊

Modelling some of my summer jewellery myself for once complete with ridiculous sun hat! 👒

Have been busy making these adorable little wirework sun 🌞 pendants in glimmering gold tones.

Will be sharing more videos including a tutorial on how to make them over the next week.

New craft supplies have arrived! And for once they’re ones I will actually use immediately unlike the crazy craft notions that overtake me at 3am when my brain decides sleep is overrated & I order random stuff to appease the sleep gremlins & can’t remember why when the half dream state ends! In fairness since I had to downsize with the flat move, I tend to be more practical in my ordering of late until I win the lottery (how else is a struggling artist ever going to have any money) and build my craft storing empire!!!

Now…Whatever will I make with them!

Let’s find out!

First make coming up…

Golden Glaze is a one-of-a-kind handmade resin artwork that captures the warmth of a golden summer day in miniature form. Set within an 8cm resin disc, soft pale blue skies, sunlight and drifting clouds create a serene backdrop for carefully preserved dried flowers in rich yellow and golden tones. Delicate gold sand adds depth and texture, evoking a sunlit meadow in bloom.

The artwork is mounted on a square board finished with a subtle floral background and presented in a white deep box frame measuring 15cm x 15cm, complete with a metal hook on the reverse for easy hanging.

Hi all 👋,

Just letting you know that ESIK Creations will not be trading at St George's Market, Belfast this coming Sunday 7th June or the following weekend on the 14th June. Hopefully I'll be there in some capacity by the 21st 🤞

Normally I'd say 'but my website is always open...✨' but I think this time I'll have to be offically closed for at least a week, so please bear this in mind if ordering online. Thanks

I would however, really appreciate any follows, likes, shares etc in my absence as social media algorithms are fickle things! So if you see any of my scheduled content pop up and would like to help out, please spread the word!

Will miss my market adventures and looking forward to getting back to work and creativity asap. With love and thanks 🥰 for all the support and encouragement over the years (15years!!! (I missed my market birthday, will have to do something about that soon!)) but for now this is, ESIK Creations signing off.
See you soon x

Mounting my resin floral artwork FINALLY!

And the winning background is…you’ll just have to watch the video! 🤣

So this piece is 8cm in diameter with real dried flowers 🌼 against a hazing sunshine ☀️ backdrop made with crystal clear jewellery resin & it’s now ready to go on sale over at my website.

I resined too close to the edge & it bleed out through the mounting board a little so I wound up having to add a background (thus the indecision a few weeks ago 🤷‍♀️ Thanks for your input) so here’s a video of my mounting process. I left the audio organic again as there’s quite a few ASMR moments but I also had my window open for some of it so apologies for the car noise & beeping pedestrian crossing etc!

Anyway, enjoy! And as ever, thanks for watching, liking, sharing & supporting 😊
