We are a fourth-generation family jewellers in Berkhamsted, est in 1872. Specialists in remodelling, bespoke Engagement rings & Fine jewellery.

We even do repairs! Visit our store for timeless pieces, personal service & craftsmanship you can trust. Bailey & Sons was founded in 1872 by the Bailey Family and in 1929 Mr Sparkes became a partner in the business. When he died in 1968 his wife continued with the business until the Hewitt’s purchased it in May 1981. We are a fourth generation family business with a simple aim: To provide a fabulous range of fine jewellery, silver jewellery and watches, of course with exceptional customer service. We offer a full range of services including:

Repair and maintenance for jewellery, watches and high quality clocks. Making one-off design commissions including remodelling a piece of your own jewellery to your requirements. Provide a professional valuation service for insurance and probate purposes.

When our friend J came to us to create a bespoke diamond eternity ring to surprise N on their 10th wedding anniversary, we were so happy to help him mark such a special milestone. 🤍

Designed to complement the wedding band we made for her 10 years ago, we matched the width and added 50% diamond coverage for that extra sparkle! 💎⬅️

We also gave her sentimental engagement ring a little TLC, restoring some claws and giving her wedding band a beautiful clean and polish ✨
