FREE YOUR MIND….

It was a huge privilege to work with the talented Dani for her exhibition

The first piece focuses in on micro aggressions and how they can ensnare if not countered with more positive affirmations as featured on the second bangle which liberate us. This brings home the proverb: ‘ Life and death are in the power of the tongue. So ALWAYS SPEAK LIFE , positively affirming ourselves and each other.

This must see exhibition runs until June 14th

TO BE SEEN explores social exclusion through the lens of the lived African Heritage experience in UK , illness and body image.

A really thought provoking , must see exhibition !congratulations .

My Mother,
honey brown skin and hard working hands that always smelled of onions,
Eyes that always smiled, I never saw her cry but I feel sure she did sometimes.
A heart full of love for everyone, no judgement.
A door always open for friends,
Always food and space for one more,
Honest, real, sometimes fierce in defending her daughters.
Always sharing, always caring, always grateful, always dancing.

When I grow up may I be just like her.
