Todayā€™s tool in focus is the jet. Also known as a torch or micro torch. Used on an almost consistent basis throughout our Goldsmiths day, itā€™s used to melt metal, solder joins, and anneal (soften) metal. A fun fact - the flame can be finer than a pencil lead!

Seeing as itā€™s the last day of January letā€™s jump on the ā€˜2026 is the new 2016ā€™ trendā€¦from one ginormous shop move and refit, dipping our toes into the second hand jewellery market, Olympic gold medals and cleansing the new space, and a few interesting things we made.
