I'm back at Chorlton Makers Market tomorrow 10-4pm in my usual spot in the playground at Oswald Road Primary School. I've had that Friday Feeling - not relaxing - but trying to get a lot of things finished for the Saturday Market.

Little Star, Hexagon and Flower studs are back in stock. When I say that - I don't mass produce - I usually make batches of three. So there's only one of each tomorrow.

After a lovely April off visiting family and friends, I'm back at the markets. This Saturday you can find me at Cheadle Makers Market 10-4pm on the Green. Everything is blooming in the garden, and the May flowers are out.

It's Chorlton Makers Market this Saturday 10-4pm in the Oswald School playground. I have been making a few new pieces especially. Hope you like the Primroses, Foxes and the Picasso Bug.

I don't have any markets in April, but I will be back at Cheadle on 2/5/2026 for the May Day weekend.

After a little break down south to look after my mum, I am back with three markets this March. It's Cheadle Makers Market tomorrow 7th March, followed by Stockport and Chorlton.

I like to visit the Welford park snowdrops when I'm in Berkshire. They have had a tough couple of Februarys with all the rain, but they still managed to put on a lovely show. And I was thrilled to spot some Hares nearby. Can you spot the one hiding?

The Berkshire Downs are such a different landscape to Manchester, with soft rolling chalk hills, flints in walls, and shallow chalk streams. Lots of inspiration for some jewellery over the coming months.

February already! And my snowdrops are flowering. I will be at Cheadle Makers Market tomorrow 10-4pm in my usual spot.

You will appreciate that when I have an outdoor market I watch the weather forecast closely. How windy is it going be? Do I need my thermals? Should I pack extra chocolate? It isn't unusual for me to look at the forecast twice a day. Well strangely in the last few months I have developed a second habit - checking the spot price of Silver! Silver has doubled in price over 2025, even tripling for a few days recently.

It has been a crazy year if you have to buy precious metals regularly as the main component of your business. I know several silver and goldsmiths are throwing in the towel. In the news today Pandora announced they would be moving to platinum plated base metal jewellery.

Alas, plated jewellery, copper and even aluminium are just not as fun for me to work with. However, I do enjoy playing with Aluminium for bookmarks and plant markers. Here are a few new ones I've made this week including a couple of commissions. Let's hope the precious metal markets settle down for a while.

Thank you everyone for supporting and encouraging my little business this year. Even if you haven't been able to visit or buy from my stall, I have really appreciated words of encouragement, and post likes without which my posts would disappear - social media algorithms seem to favour AI over small businesses these days.

As we come to the end of 2025, I wanted to show you a little piece I was commissioned to do last month. It isn't something I take on very often, but I really enjoyed.

I'm back on my usual markets in 2026, starting with Chorlton on the 17th January and Cheadle on the 7th February. Wishing you a blessed and happy new year.
