It’s bank holiday Sunday. From today we will be open 11am- 4pm on Sundays through the Spring and Summer, and possibly a few in Autumn too!

Day 6 of with Saturday small talk
Did you know that Christmas is pretty much an all year affair for us?!
When we put Christmas to bed in January, it’s only a few short weeks before we are off to the NEC to order & buy Christmas for the following year!

Most orders are finalised by spring (we did one yesterday 🤩) and they start arriving mid August.
We price everything as it arrives, ready to put out towards the end of October.
The season starts in earnest with and off we go again!

Todays prompt is …. Throwback Thursday
The day we met Emma Bridgewater!

A few years ago we were lucky enough to be invited to the Emma Bridgewater pottery/ factory for a suppliers day.
We had a tour and watched a mug being made from start to finish.
A wonderful lunch was provided and then we had a go at decorating a plate (so much fun!)
After lunch, we got to meet the lady herself. She was so interested in hearing about our shop…. What a lovely lady!

The team.
We are a team of 4 and we are “team Cariad “
Sue and Sara … we’ve been owners since 2020 but we both worked in the shop as employees before. We jumped at the opportunity to buy the business when our bosses left.
Kath is our “Saturday girl” who also opens up on a Thursday. Kath is either friends with, or related to a large percentage of Brecon!
And finally, so new we don’t have a photo yet… our newest member of staff Terré.
Terré was recommended to us by our friends at
She’s fitting in perfectly and we are lucky to have her!
