What the desk looks like in a Sunday afternoon. Half finished projects EVERYWHERE. Two silver spiders, 3 stones I dug out of a pile and forgot about because I became distracted by something else, 2 molten balls ready for hammering, lots of items needing polishing but hey: at least I put the pliers away 💪🏼
Currently prepping for Pride Cymru Cardiff event, if you spy the 6 m&ms, the necklace is made and heading for a hallmark 🥳

The unfinished little makes that were not supposed to be these things! Started off making a molten bangle using scraps and adding more as I went. Turns out there were a few weak points so I turned it into a pair of earrings and two pendants. The last one reminds me of a rose and it looks like that completely by mistake. Also discovered that silver will take a copper appearance after lots of heating. It will polish off but I had shock opening the pickle pot to reveal a copper rose!

All the newbies this week. 3p coin bracelet and anklet, molten star necklace and copper ring, then raspberry rippled ghost and heart ring. All coming with me tomorrow to Broadlands Local Market 10 - 2.

On the bench this week: pink heart, moon, aurora opal ghost and a raspberry ripple tear drop. I love that pink, so pretty with the different colour flashes.
Easing myself back into making, have a Witches Market on the 21st on Brangwyn Hall, Swansea with Cariad Events Cymru if you want to take a peek 😊

Just out of the pickle pot, not polished yet. Victorian/Georgian 3p sterling silver coins soldered together to make little necklaces.
I’ve tried to match the dates so it’s 1894 and 1895 together, a pair of 1900 and 1918 together.
I LOVE coins 😂 The history behind these: they’re 100/120 years old. Who held them? What did they pay for? Where did they come from? Which pocket were they kept in?

See that bracelet on that little blue box? I’ve coveted one of those for as long as I can remember. At least 20 years.
You can never guarantee authenticity buying secondhand and it’s really put me off trying to get one. Tiffany and Co no longer make the round tag bracelets so I made myself a version.
All of the links are individually made and soldered. The ‘charms’ are Victorian: a gothic florin and a two shilling coin, rescued from a scrap pile in the local antique shop. Both are worn, at least 120 years old and solid silver. I love the noise they made when they clatter off each other.
I love coins, especially Victorian. Watch this space: they’re going to be making lots of appearances in 2026 😊
