Hiya! Sorry for the radio silence, it’s been a busy time of it and life has been life-ing (are we all feeling that?)

Why order from a small business? We LOVE seeing your jewellery pictures and your excitement with what we’ve made for you. Both of these pieces were custom made for my lush customer, first that coffin ring and then the matching bangle.
I love to see photos of my jewellery being worn, it’s the most flattering thing ever!!

Ever make/do something and think: did I really achieve that? Some pieces are really special and this one was made from meters of silver wire, made into jump rings and soldered, before hallmark added and then finally: 4 sterling silver coins added.
Not too shabby huh? 🥳

Did you know: in Georgian and Victorian times, the hair of loved ones was braided and kept after their death?

There are lots of examples of memento mori jewellery and this little piece would have been a brooch. I purchased it without the back, meaning I could safely set it in silver without any damage to the original piece. After all, a blow torch and hair are not good companions!

I think hair work jewellery is stunning. How many eyes have seen it? Who was adored so much, their loved ones paid for someone to braid their hair so they would always have a piece of them? Where has this come from? What clothes has it been pinned to?

Personally: I adore antique jewellery, especially Victorian. But: would you wear a necklace that was made from an unknown person’s hair?

Lovely little new makes all shiny and ready to go. Double booked myself this weekend so Saturday, the parents are holding the fort at Colwinston summer event while I’m at Pride Caerfili with Crafty Legs Events

Sometimes you just have to make the idea in your head and hope it turns out as well as you imagined.

This one did 😍

Hope someone falls in love with my quirky style and this piece. It’s making its debut tomorrow at Bridgend Pride, Llangewydd Arms Broadlands, alongside lots of other pieces. It’s on 2pm - late and there are marquees to shelter from the rain if you fancy a browse and to celebrate the community.

What the desk looks like in a Sunday afternoon. Half finished projects EVERYWHERE. Two silver spiders, 3 stones I dug out of a pile and forgot about because I became distracted by something else, 2 molten balls ready for hammering, lots of items needing polishing but hey: at least I put the pliers away 💪🏼
Currently prepping for Pride Cymru Cardiff event, if you spy the 6 m&ms, the necklace is made and heading for a hallmark 🥳

The unfinished little makes that were not supposed to be these things! Started off making a molten bangle using scraps and adding more as I went. Turns out there were a few weak points so I turned it into a pair of earrings and two pendants. The last one reminds me of a rose and it looks like that completely by mistake. Also discovered that silver will take a copper appearance after lots of heating. It will polish off but I had shock opening the pickle pot to reveal a copper rose!
